Any advice I am joining the army soon and would love some advice about bct and anything else
Remember to make friends and have fun
I'd keep a journal too, I didn't in basic and I really wished I had because things that seemed to extraordinary or funny at the time are just a blur now.

Get fitter.
Don't stand out.
If you stand out, prepare to receive either shit or extra work as every leader recognizes you as someone capable and thus piles responsibility on you.
Don't take it too seriously.

I can run a 8:05 mile but I'm short as Fuck meaning 5' 3"

>2400km in a Cooper's test
You need to run more.

And run more after that.
Do pushups. It is better to be known as a push up god than a midget.

Push ups and set ups are a breeze for me it's just running I struggle at

Get off your fat ass right now and go run 5 miles.

Keep it in the general faggot.
Get a good backpack, fill it with water bottles or weights up to 15kg then speed march, pack it with towels so it doesnt shake about.
Speed march up hills, aiming for 15 minute miles or less. Ease into walking less and running more. Then gradually increase the distance and/or weight.
Do this along with normal unweighted jogging, and sessions of sprints.
Depending on what branch youre going into your speed march time will be different, but doing 4-5 miles in under an hour is a good confidence booster at the start.
