Alternate tank-bourne design that utilizes a built-in seat surrounded by one of those floating bubble things people float with. Propelled by a regular tank shell, the idea is the soldier can safely land and bounce to his location (or on the water) and either roll or float to his next objective.

His helmet is over the barrel of the tank gun to prevent the resulting shell from popping the rubber bubble before he lands.

Would this work?

So if we have a stick that fits itself to the spring on top of the helmet, and a platform to stand on, it should cover the shockwave, will allowing you to still get the safety eject feature of the original design without spinal or shockwave damage. Add to that the scuba tank and scuba mask and your lungs are A-OK. Could this work?
