Are optics on a carry gun a bad idea? Most defensive shootings the shooter has no opportunity or ability to use the irons and its purely point shooting, but an optic could help with that.
Pros:
Faster target acquisition
Works from unideal positions irons don't
Works great in low light
Cons:
expensive
little bit more bulk
little bit more weight
possible snag hazard
Are the benefits not worth the price of admission? 99% of people seem to carry with stock guns and they work perfectly fine but an advantage is an advantage.
I don't think so. More likely to snag on something than be useful. Just aim center of mass while you're close and mag dump.

Makes one handed slide racking much more possible in dire straights

>suppressor sights

What is the difference between suppressor sights and non-suppressor sights?
>>31333456
So you can see them through the optic if it's dead. Duh.
>>31334157
Suppressor sights go up much higher than normal ones in order to give you a sight picture that can be used with most silencers.
>>31334196
Normal ones are visible through the glass while also not obstructing as much of the sight picture, though.

Were you dropped on your head?

Forgot "99% chance of not getting back when the gun is returned to you a year after a defensive shooting".
>>31334225
Some don't, see the ones in the OP pic? Those suppressor sights barely clear the optic.
Plus it helps not having the bottom of the rear sight slot obscured.
Stupid as fuck. Night sights are the most you should ever have

What would your POA be on this? The Top of the triangle? The Center?
>>31334349
The center. Or, really, wherever you want to put it.
>>31333322
No because you're not going to use sights in a gunfight anyways
>>31333432
Just when you think you've seen it all Glock owners show you an entirely new level of faggotry.

I've thought about getting one, but I always end up deciding that $600 worth of ammo for practice will do more for me than a gadget. I've seen how well some people can shoot with just iron sights and I figure I'll get to that point first, then start looking at equipment.

Maybe I'm not /k/ enough but I'm not shooting so many people that a few hundred $ every time I defend my life is going to bankrupt me. Especially when that money could make a life of death difference
>>31334408
I actually really like it.
Without the retarded stippling and slide cuts anyway.
