I got $1,000 to blow on guns.

What do I get? I only own a shotgun.

Ar15 from PSA? Cheaper AR and sneak in a handgun? Get 2 handguns? Glock 19? FNS9? LC9?

Might be able to get $1,300 instead.
>>
>>31317087
>$1,000

jesus christ op
>>
>>31317116
Did you skip the part where he says a cheap ar and a handgun or multi handguns and the ar's on psa arent even the pricey, the priciest kit they have right now available in stock is $600
>>
>>31317087
Get an affordable AR-15 for $600 and spend the rest on a decent carry pistol (I have an M&P Shield I got for $400) or ammo for the AR. Get ahead of the election panic anon. Even if AR's don't skyrocket in price, you will still have an excellent rifle
>>
No info on what you like other then your budget?

Glock 19 and ammo
.22 plinker (10/22, marlin, etc)
Ammo
>>
>>31317087

If I was you , freedom rifle from PSA ( parts lot because cheaper ) , buy a ton of Usgi mags , ammo , then watch the world burn from sandyhook 2 Hillary's abortion.
>>
>>31317150
Also, most decent AR's have no trouble shooting the cheap steel-cases Tula or Wolf ammo. If you get the AR, start a small stockpile of cheap .223. You should be able to find it in Walmart or online in bulk. Don't have to spend more than 30 cents per round if you do it right
>>
>>31317163
I heard freedom and ptac were shit. Mainly ptac though
>>
http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-midlength-5-56-nato-1-7-melonite-acs-l-rifle-kit.html plus magazines, ammo and a rear sight. Then depending on how much you have left and if you can get it up to $1300 total, get a nice handgun. Glock's are common, get something not everyone has. CZ75 variant or a nice beretta.
>>
Would it be wise to buy several cheap $50 lowers from Anderson and a couple from Spikes?

You know, just in case of a massive gun scare if Hillary wins. Or looks like she might win, then resell them?
>>
>>31317190
Glocks are common because they are good and reliable

>inb4 memes
>>
Get a half dozen 10/22s
>>
>>31317186

Ptac are bad but they work from what I know.

Freedom line is great as a budget battle rifle as long as you get the decent kit they sell.
>>
>>31317210
Regardless of if they're good or not, OP could just go and get a glock anyday. I'd grab a nice CZ while I can.
>>
>>31317217
They have a few freedom kits.
>>
>>31317190
Why not the phosphate finish freedom rifle for $20 cheaper? Is melonite better?
>>
>>31317232

599 and above kits from what I have heard over the years because the barrels and BCG are better. So the deals going on now are pretty damn good.

Mostly second. Every rifle kit they have on sale with free shipping right now is a good choice, so pick one you like https://www.palmettostatearmory.com. Just remember you have to buy a lower receiver, too. Don't pay more than $60 at an LGS; more than that, they're hustling you. If you buy it online, remember you're paying shipping plus FFL fee, so the $60 figure may fluctuate depending on how bad your LGSs are about transfers.

Start keeping an eye on PSAs Daily Deals. They've been doing ones where you pay like $0.20/round for 5.56 and $10/magazine for PMAGs, and get 200 rounds and 10 mags for $200 with free shipping. Good deal. Break down the pricing, tho; some are good, some aren't.

After that, get a used police trade in Glock or Sig.
>>
>>31317237
You can get the phosphate finish freedom but it has a different stock. Depends which one you want really, not too much of a difference in barrel performance.

Also, Aim Surplus and Southern Ohio Gun Works. AIM has used Hi-Powers for $440; SOG has Beretta 92Ss for $280, Maks for $300, and 9mm Toks for $210
>>
>>31317087
If you're getting PSA get the CHF barrel

also, glock19 is a fun gun.
>>
>>31317266
>>31317275
Get this for $760 free ship. (Very good optic)
Find FFL here: http://www.gunbroker.com/FFL/DealerNetwork.aspx
Should be ~$25 for transfer.
Use remaining $200-500 to buy mags and ammo, and upgrade stock, girp, trigger guard, handguard/gas block.

PTR 91 GI. Surplus magazines are $3, .308 is what you need. Don't bother with a poodle shooter.

$20-25 for mecgar which work great.

Is the Ruger SR9e good? Better than the cheaper S&W SD9VE?

Get an AR for like 500-600 and get like 1000 rounds with the rest of the money. Or get a .22LR rifle and a pistol in 9mm and a bunch of ammo for those.

I thought it was allowed. Well that sucks. I heard about all the price gouging after sandy hook. Figured there would be another gun ban scare if Hillary won.

Oh well, I didnt want to blow a few hundred bucks on something that may take a while to happen.
>>
>Buy 1 Mosin
>buy Bayonet
>Buy shitton of Ammo

Cheeki Breeki
>>
>>31318276
You're allowed to sell, but purchasing weapons with the intent to resell at a higher price violates federal law. Not worth risking a felony/prison time over.
>>
>>31317087
Take a vacation a few states over. Go to local ranges. See who's shooting expensive guns. Follow them home and spend some time surveilling them. When they leave break in and steal his guns. Put $1000 into a piggy bank on your shelf
>>
>>31318276
That is why you don't buy them with the intent to sell. You buy them because they are cheap and you want to expand your collection. Then, when prices are high you change your mind and sell some to people didn't get them sooner and want to add them to their collection. You use the money you got from the transaction to expand your collection in other areas.

This is perfectly legal.
>>
>>31318294
Yeah fuck that. Ill just get my shit and dump any spare cash on ammo for the range.
>>
>>31318283
>buy one Mosin
>buy one sks
>make sure both come with bayonets
>buy little bit of ammo for each
>>
>>31318314
There have been some shitty suggestions. This is literally the worst
>>
How is an SKS for an offensive and defense rifle? Assuming you get a decent one? How are those extended mags?
>>
>>31317596
>They are cheap
thats it right there
before psa flooded the market with freedom the majority of stainless steel barrels were matchgrade (1-2 moa)and expensive

the freedom barrels are dirtcheap things that happen to be made of stainless steel. they shoot 2-4 moa which is perfectly acceptable and expected for a budget barrel in that price range
the people bitching about stainless are expecting old stainless match grade accuracy out of a cheap barrel just cause its stainless
>>
>>31318359
How many of those people are even shooting match grade ammo? I can't see many people buying such a cheap rifle actually spending the money to run Hugh quality ammo through it. M193 isn't match grade.
>>
What is good bulk 5.56 ammo? Same for 9mm. PMC? Lakecity?
>>
>>31317087
Build an ar of your going to get an ar. It's very easy to do, it'll be cheaper to build one how you like it, than to buy a rack gun then mod it. And you'll learn a valuable skill.
>>
>>31318327
Good for both. The removable mags are good enough but can't be used with stripper clips, won't feed them right.
>>
get a handgun for conceal carry, $500. then a 22 rifle like a savage or marlin for $200. use remaining $300 to get a milsurp like a mosin, sks, or mauser. then get an ar15 when you have another $600

Economy brand chum.
>>
>>31317087
Get a budget AR and plenty of normal capacity mags an enough ammo. Or a couple of lowers now and a nice carry gun
>>
>>31319359
OP is on a budget, old sport.
>>
>>31318028
sd9ve trigger is good unless you're a little bitch and it's more reliable and easier to clean than the ruger
>>
>>31317087
regardless if you pick something else, if the AR interests you at all, you have to pick up a stripped lower. theyre very affordable (andersons go for $50) and the most troublesome to get when theres a panic. while youre at it, pick up a handful of pmags. the $100 you spend this way covers you pretty well in our uncertain future.
>>
Depends on what your needs are. Home defense, looking for something to carry, and your area is populated pretty well, I'd go for a good pistol, plenty of ammo, and maybe a stripped lower or two. That way you can construct an AR later on if you wanted to.

If you're closer to the country or innawoods, I'd go for a medium tier rifle of your choice w/ plenty of ammo.

Good luck OP. I went from a shotgun only faggot to a shotgun and pistol faggot recently myself, and plan on getting a stripped lower or two next.
>>
>>31317925
those are stupidly expensive aren't they. Aim for a high caliber piece that will be enjoyable to own but also retain and eventually gain value with collectors.
>>
>>31317087
BCM lowers were going cheap at one point. If you wanna get all tacticool get a BCM and accessories. Watch for sales on lowers and uppers, same goes for aimpoints and BUIS.

You could also go the cheap AR route, especially if you can build one
>>
CZ 75 or BHP (if you want to spend more money on the pistol for better shooting)
with the rest, get an AR or save up for one (or an AK, personally prefer AKs but most people don't and it would probably be more expensive)
