My state is about to pass an "assault weapons"
and large capacity magazine ban.
I'm either going to buy a kel tec RFB 308, an AR in 308, or a PTR91.
right now its
1)kel tec
2) ptr
3) ar
Kel tec is about twice as expensive but I really like the decreased OAL. PTR I've heard nothing but good things about. I already have a 5.56 ar, so I'm not too enthused about those, but I'll keep my options open.
convince me

=(
>>31310294
Do you honestly believe Kel Tec can manufacture a reliable forward ejecting bullpup? I certainly see no reason to believe it. I can't think of any rifle manufacturer I would trust less to make such a firearm.
>>31310488
hmm solid point. A few of the reviews I've seen mentioned that they were undergassed from the factory.
and if shit explodes and your head is directly on top of the magazine while aiming... owwie
looking hard at the ptr91 right now. There seem to be a few varieties between 850-1100$, anyone have experience with these?
>>31310294
How did you find out that your state might pass this ban?
>>31310294
Which state?
>>31310294
What is your state out of curiosity? Also assault weapon bans don't mean shit. You buy what you want than buy the state gimped version too for range practice. That's what I did.
Gun laws don't mean much in WA since most people shoot innawoods rather than at ranges. The bigger problem is getting the right parts or guns shipped to you in the first place.
>>31310774
this is exactly my situation. sites already wont ship to MA because of the AGs 'directive'
I buy like everything online =/
Sounds like some Jewery.
Better donate to the NRA.
>>31310294
so .308 isn't very popular right now I guess
Who's banning what? WA aint getting no fucking ban jesus.

>implying the full weight of the commie liberal machine isn't pushing this to receptive homo hipster seattalite ears
Do live in Washington too. It's fucking bs. Write/email to the Attorney General / congressman. I did
>>31312892
keep your voice loud, this won't pass, not on our watch. they try this every freaking year yet we btfo it everytime. Don't give up don't listen to anyone saying there's no hope we lost that's shill talk.
>>31310488
I have a friend who is a cop and one of his friends tried to qualify on their course with his RFB
>buddy said it jammed at least 3 times per mag
>>31310488
My RFB would disagree with your assessment.
>>31312915
I wish I could post stuff on this on fb, but it will probably find it offensive and work against us.
>>31312951
I've never shot a bullpup before. i like the decreased OAL, won't snag on trees, blackberrys and sticks as much.
complaints/ comments on the rfb? do you feel it provides a value for twice the price of a ptr?
>>31312951
So you're saying it runs flawlessly and >>31312916 is saying it jams multiple times per mag. What's the difference here? Is there poor quality control and that guy's friend got a lemon? Did you tune your gun to cycle perfectly with the ammo you were using and that guy's friend didn't? Issues with the RFB being fickle and needing precise tuning are well documented online. None of the explanations I can think of fair well for the gun.
I hope you guys have taken action if your home state has some bullshit going on
>>31313041
Well it isn't twice the price of a PTR for starters. They run about $1500 or less these days. So that puts it into the FAL and M1a range. And I think it provides an equal value to either of those, yes.
Only complaint is it doesn't like surplus mags. New DSA ones are fine. Also the lack of iron sights included is a pain in the ass, especially for what I paid.
>>31313118
Well one difference is my account is 1st hand, not 2nd hand. But besides that no, I set my gas to 27 or 28, and it runs all military type loads. Haven't had to fuck with it since.
>>31313140
here, I corrected that map for you
>>31313382
Go with a PTR. Cheap magazines too. Just get one with features you like.
>>31313444
hah
