I'll have you know that my current nation's "military" is spending each and every day building bunk beds and tables and serving food to refugees. They don't even train with real bullets anymore. I had a buddy in infantry osut in 2010 who was an Iraqi. He was a terp who eventually came to the US and was earning his citizenship through service. So it can be done OP.
