HK-69 is close, but obviously it's a fictional weapon.

There are those "Hornet nest" 40mm cartridges that fire like a dozen or two .22lr bullets at once, but obviously that's not quite the same. Maybe you could have bunch of miniature 9mm warheads (or dum-dum rounds?) fire out of similar pack ? No idea.

it's... the worst tier 1 in the game. A 25-35mm launcher would be better. The M79 sucks enough that it could be the tier 1.

It's actually really good, just counter intuitive how you need to use it. If you aim at enemy's legs at an angle you can take out large groups of trash in a single shot. The worst starter right now is definitely the 1858's, at least the 1911 is so cheap

which is the total opposite of how the direct fire skill wants you to use it. The 1858's are pretty good since they cut a second plus off the reload animations. If you use it with the penetration skill you can clear a pack quickly. I got 3 headshots on a clot conga line with one round.
