My appartment doesn't allow guns but can I keep a gun in

I could be wrong and to be truthfully honest you are probably better off looking up your local gun laws but that said if they own the parking lot then you cannot have it there either. As the parking lot is owned by the apartment complex it is still considered property of the owners. So if they post signs with the correct language and in the lease then yes you can get evicted.

From a quick google search they can ban you from having a gun in your apartment, but I'd clarify with an attorney. But they cannot prevent you from keeping a gun in the car because that is your property.

This is what I do. My landlord even showed me the apartment before I moved in, and saw that the current tenants had guns, but ignored it. They probably have that policy to appear safe.

They can too ban guns. When an apartment says no guns, they will include that in the paper work that you signed. Which that paper work is a contract. Also the apartment and the land belongs to the owner, so that owner can easily said no guns. Lots of places can and will do this. Learn the laws you dumb fag.

I've stayed in hotels that explicitly forbade firearms. Not that I gave a shit, nor should OP.

Laws vary but usually there is notice required before they inspect or show the place, during which you can simply hide any contraband or put it in your vehicle. If they have to enter in an emergency and see your gun right there on the kitchen table, I would imagine it would simply be ignored providing you are a good tenant. Evictions are a miserable process for the landlord, that's why the tenant screening process is so hardcore.

But to answer the question no, you cannot get evicted for having a gun in your car, because there is no way for them to know it is there unless you blab about it.
