Is there anything wrong with using high temperature auto grease for guns?
>>
Tends to fail pretty badly when it gets dirty.

Vtwin oil works well if you want an easy to get oil.
>>
>>31178607
No problem at all.
>>31178625
That's why you maintain your guns. Grease makes maintenance easier. Get gud.
>>
It will get sticky
And can't use on polymers
>>
>>31178778
I thought all grease is sticky.
>>
>>31178780
No it's not.
>>
>>31178778
>can't use on polymers
>because disk brakes don't have polymer seals....

Retard.
>>
>>31178607
High temp grease is usually too thick to use on guns because of the low temperatures.
>>

>dis brakes
>grease
>>
>>31178607
I use bike chain teflon grease
>>
>>31178954
You would have been better off talking about polymer bushings.

silicone grease is insanely sticky
>>
>>31178954
you seem to be confused as to where the brakes are and where the bearings are

you should be using anti-sieze on the caliper pins [assuming a floating caliper] not wheel bearing grease
>>
>>31178625
Remember using motor oil (forgot what weight now) for the M2. Makes for a nightmare to clean but works great
>>
>>31180156
I use Mobil 1 5W-30, applied with Qtip after Qtip. Stuff works pretty good and obviously an entire quart lasts for a while.
>>
>>31180164
That weight does sound familiar but we were stuck with some Turkish version
>>
what about moly di sulfide or something similar to that?
>>
>>31180760
Just use Moly lithium grease. It works well and you can eat it too.
>>
>>31180773
im very sure about that last part
>>
>>31180164
10w30 synthetic here, works great.

I get a couple e-cig juice containers, fill em up and put one in range bag and one at home.
>>
Grease really isn't ideal for action components, too thick.

It's fine for areas that have loose tolerances,or don't see a lot of constant friction but tighter tolerance areas work better with oil.
