700fps hmm, a little faster than I would guess but only 300gr for all dat bullet? I would suspect those 45 caliber pellets would have a tough time breaking through a thick jacket.

Just a guess, but one 100gr bullet and 4 50gr disks. Those disks carry a whopping 50ft/lbs of energy each. Might as well keep a handful of pennies in your pocket to throw at your attacker.

looks like around 1400fps is your general .45 colt. that site rated these at around 6inches of penetration. So my guess is its probably meant to be more of a put down type of round. Definitely doesn't seem too cutting edge to me, just novelty.

The top bullet is significantly larger than the disks. I would suspect it to be atleast double the weight of the disks. the disks are probably even lighter considering they all have conical bases. Imagine how thin they are. I bet they are under 50gr each for the disks. bullet 100gr or more.

even then, a 100gr bullet at 700fps is 108ft/lbs.


This round carries the same energy as a 9mm(326ft/lb) spread out over the the area of 5 .45 " disks. I bet those things just fucking bounce off people. gimmick round.
