So I picked up a mildly picked over YZ-775 the other week. After a few thousand credits sunk into electronics and assorted amenities, I have 30000 credits to sink into weapons and engines.

None of those would be functional.
Assuming they weren't just blown up by thermal dets during the battle, they would have been destroyed after the battle, and the ones that weren't probably got knocked out by all that EMP bombardment to make sure all the Droids were taken out.
I mean they absolutely genocided Geonosis. It's a barren world now and anything from the TF was destroyed by orbital bombardment if it wasn't taken out on the ground.

Of course those things were exports anyways. They get used on outer rim planets a lot. I know some of the Hutts have them. But I don't know anyone selling them.
OP, you'd be looking at a 50k credit minimum to get one, they haven't been made in decades and the only ones still around are pre war.

Except serviceable CIS hardware has been found by Rebel forces on Geonosis as late as 4 ABY. If you look hard and long enough in the right places, you WILL find serviceable units, or at very least what to canibalize to build one.

Go quad lasers on all the sponsons and try to get a concussion missile launcher or proton torpedo system on it. Ions aren't worth it on a ship that size. If you have to fight a ship big enough you need ions you are fucked anyway.
