Frame mounted safety doesnt work well on a 92, You can rest your thumb on it and ride high like a 1911. The slide will bite the fuck out of your hand.

Just get one and put a WC low profile one sided safety/decocker on it. You cant accidentaly engage the safety with one of them, it's the best investment you can make in a 92.

Gonna speculate a bit here and assume that Beretta doesn't really care about the 92 series that much anymore. The storm series has been out for a while now and they seem to push that more, and then there's the fact that the A3 was rejected by the military. It might still be a very popular handgun, but it's also outdated in Beretta's book and eventually Beretta's probably going to want to phase it out completely, not add new features to it like a frame mounted safety.
