What the fuck. Time to buy a Glock. Anyone in Colorado wanna buy a Sig Sauer P226R in 9mm?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuPOqDlaX6U
It fired all the rounds, just didn't eject the last one of each mag.
It's not like the sig turned into a brick that wasn't able to shoot.
Where were you when ForgottenWeapons ruined /k/?
Glock reliability isn't anything new OP. Neither is SIG shittyness.
RIP Sig 1853-2016
>>31147082
Did you watch the video? The sig literally bricked.
>>31146972
sooo you are going to sperg and ditch your Sig because one video showed a failure?
>some fuck on youtube buries his sig in a pan of mud
>oh noes it dont work perfectly now
>FUCK ME I HAVE TO GO BUY A GLOCK HOW CAN I UNLOAD ALL THESE WORTHLESS SIGS! HOW CAN I OPERATE IN SOLID MUD WITH THIS THING?
kek
Calling that a P226 is like calling a tricked out WASR a Russian AK47.
Modern P226s are made in a different country in a completely different way than they originally were. Pre-1995 Sigs are the best.
>>31147701
You mean 2000 when it stopped being swiss and good. 1970s if you are a purist.
>>31147740
It completely shat itself after sand though.
>>31146972
Tolerances that are too tight don't allow the Sigs to function properly when any foreign materials get inside. A few grains of sand will cause it to grind to a halt. You could see the ejection patterns on the casings just arc lower and lower until they were barely plopping out of the slide. The Arex was sort of doing the same thing, but only after it made it through the entire torture test TWICE without being cleaned and even then it never quit working.
>>31146972
No I'm looking for a P226R in .40 S&W
>>31147701
A PX4 probably wouldn't pass either due to the rotating barrel even though I'm a fanboy of that design and am shopping for one right now.
>>31146972
wtf? I hate sig now
>>31147390
This one was by BIG MAC
these mud tests are ramping up though
>>31146972
OP after seeing this I am now a #GlockGrenade
>>31146972
price?
>have gun
>fill action with mud
>gun doesn't function properly
wtf i hate guns now
>>31148605
>>have gun
>>fill action with mud
>>gun doesn't function properly
>wtf i hate guns now
Which is funny because excatly that was not the case in MAC's test. Gun was closed, mag in.
He just basically dropped the gun in sand and wet dirt, simulating anyone who would just accidentally drop his gun in sand and wet dirt for whatever reason.
>>31149588
I avoid watching "torture tests" on Youtube because most of them don't simulate real life experiences (so they're only good for forum baiting) and I assumed it was like the Forgotten Weapons ones.
That's unfortunate if what you're saying happened is true.
>>31149588
he completely submerged it, dropped it in sand that turns to mud in the water, repeats twice with slightly thicker muds. They both performed well enough and this is never going to happen to a civilian unless they drive off a cliff into the ocean and swim to shore or fall off a boat.
>>31149632
it isn't what happened
>>31146972
Indiana here, I'll give you $221 shipped for it.
SP2022 and p320 is where the real reliability is at now for the Sig market. It's like they know they've lost the p226 market in the future and are focusing their QC on the new guns more.
>>31149632
those forgotten weapon tests can definitely happen in real life. look up infiltration courses. they definitely represent an extreme side to combat but they definitely can and have happened
>>31147390
>Where were you when forgottenweapons actually gave us standards instead of memes
It's a wonderful feeling.
>>31147701
I hope they'll come up with an updated version.

AND HERE COME THE FANBOYS
>>31150650
Your post had me curious so I found this vid. Apparently Sig's magazines are the main failure in sand? Otherwise the gun still functions.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=935&v=DPp03fajk4c
>>31150356
Up yours cornfucker. I'll give OP $226 for it.
>>31151230
Why would you link a video at that time point?
>>31146972
What makes you think that a Glock could pass that test? MAC hasn't even bothered to test one, even though he keeps insisting that Glocks don't suffer from these problems.
>>31151612
Because I love you.
>>31150115
So.... don't ever use the sig in heavy rainfall which increases the chance of it slipping out of your hands into a puddle of mud from you know, the rain. Gotcha
>>31151444
Fuck you both $230
I bet most of you fags don't even own a sig.
> Mine works just fine in wet conditions
>>31148605
>>31149632
Maybe you should watch the video before posting.
>>31155064
>implying everyone simulates dropping their $1000 handgun in mud
>>31154955
Screw you limp dick, I'll give him $231.50...
>>31146972
There is only ONE reason that Sig performed so poorly: it's Exeter shit.
Outside of boutique AR brands (Daniel Defense, BCM, Noveske, ...) and full-on custom brands (Les Baer, ...), US gun manufacturing on any large scale is complete trash.
Remington, Winchester, Sig, etc. have all turned to shit.
Meanwhile European mass gun producers (Steyr, Sako, FN, ...) are still top quality.
Unfuck your shit, Murrican'ts.
>>31157208
I mean, just look at this test;
The Arex is made in fucking Slovenia, a former commieblock shithole.
But it blew the US-made """sig""" completely and utterly out of the water in this performance test.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Arex will last a lot longer than the US """sig""" too without rusting or cracking.
>>31157273
Why did France police force sign the biggest firearms deal since WW2 for the SP2022 if it's "Exeter shit"? I agree the p226 is dying but Sig is placing more of their attention towards their new guns.
>>31157352
Because France is cheap.
>>31157352
The SP2022 bought by the French isn't Exeter shit, it's produced in Europe by the European companies "Swiss Arms AG" and "Sauer & Sohn".
The Exeter company is "SIG Sauer Inc."
Also,
>P226 goes to shit in US hands
>"th-they're just focusing on other things now"
Disgusting.
>>31157352
> implying French bound guns will be made in New England

You must be weak as fuck if something being wet makes it completely unable to held at all.
>>31149632
If other guns can survive ir yet this one can't I would rather spend my hard earned money on something that will regardless of whether or not it's a realistic test. Your argument is shit
>>31147985
>muh "tolerances" meme
>>31157208
Even the Croats beat American Manu with the xd/hs2000...smdh
What's fucked up is that most police departments in America use sig p226 as a standard issue gun
So, The reason why SEALs ditched SIG 226 and picked up a Glock 19.
