monitor armslist and gunbroker for deals. 600$ wont get you a lot in the way of .44 mags. Maybe a used Ruger Redhawk or similar styles.

Was considering glaawk 10mm...but Bubba told me .44mag is way to go.

Its down to your preference. If you like semi autos, go with a glawk brand glawk or another 10mm handgun. Get good defense ammo for it. Remember, bears have tougher hides than dindus.

If you like revolvers, get the .44mag. You can get some crazy hot loads too.

What's good defense ammo for the glock 10mm for bears? Am guessing FMJ 165gr (do they make 180gr?)

I cant remember if it was them or Lehigh, but both offer some kind of xtreme penetrator, one is enhanced though.
