How effective would America's war on drugs be if they took the Duterte approach of basically killing every dealer they find?
Depends if you like being a 3rd world shithole or not.
drugs would be more expensive, and there would be a larger number of dealers, with shorter, lower-risk careers, making a smaller number of deals for the same amount of money (potentially reducing the number of total apprehensions)
meanwhile, the constitution would have no value whatsoever, as this situation means that we've established a precedent of disregarding basically all judicial protections and have handed a blank check to the government to kill American citizens.

Basically this. Trash will be trash anywhere but the more brutal the government the more the general public will subvert it to the detriment of development.
Great way to start street wars. If a baller thinks that hes a dead man if he get caught, hes got nothing to lose by bringing an AK to every deal and lighting up every cop that looks at him funny. Just results in a more dangerous environment for civilian and lawmen, and a more organized and militarized criminal element.
>nuke Mexico and Central America
>Problem solved!

This. It'd be a good way to make all those super-pessimistic visions of the future from the 70s and 80s a reality.

War on drugs is a fucking joke
I can drink myself out of depression and into death but I can't do the same with other substances because some cunts think it's wrong
Fuck them

>We don't have a problem of addiction in America!
>The problem are the drugs, not the fucking anerican junkies who want more and more drugs.
Bruh

>literally the plot of Eagle Strike from Alex Rider
>people would get domestic or from somewhere else
real talk what's the point on being strict on what people do themselves? Who cares?

That would defeat the purpose.
Prohibition keeps prices artificially high and encourages a healthy black market that dirty cops thrive on. It was never about stopping the influx of drugs
Also, drugs rock. They're really good at what they do.
