On the plus the magwell grip was extremely comfortable and did help balance the gun

Oh I should have clarified
>Front heavy as an AK with a light stock
I've handled/shot some modern AKs and VZ58s that weren't super front heavy

Also I should have clarified that I didn't shoot the 550 or G36K(E?), I just handled them at a police expo

Huh? It literally move the firing pin out of the way. Can't get any safer than that.
>>
>>31102002
the point being, if you carry unchambered and pull the slide back you risk hitting the safety/decocker accidentally. Heard more than one story of people having that happen and tap-rack-banging 2 or three times before realising the safety was on and the mushy trigger was because of that.

Sounds like bullshit. Anyone who shoots the 92fs knows it's easier to bump the safety off when slide racking than on. Of course people dumb enough to carry an unloaded pistol can probably find a way.

I took a marksmanship class last semester and had an opportunity to use an m16, though it had been modified for use in a Combat Skills Trainer (pretty sure that's what it's called). It was connected to an air pressurizer which would simulate the recoil of an actual m16. It was fun as hell, but I really didn't care for the rifle itself. The sights were a pain in the ass, and I was never able to find a comfortable way to hold it.

I think that's a thing about all the large frame/slide glocks. They just feel cheaper than they should.

That said, i love my G29 and i'll never get rid of it. But that's just because i like shooting super hot 10mm out of such a small gun, and taking it innawoods. I'm convinced it's the most fun a person can have with a glock.

But yeah, feels like a cheap piece of shit and it's sometimes finicky to assemble/reassemble (known issue with 10mm glocks).

I think the FAL has terrible ergos too. The location of the bolt release/magazine catch is retarded, you can't even do mag changes rapidly because the bolt release is next to the mag lever. The FAL grip is also uncomfortable, plus it recoil unnecessarily rough.

>Points like an 6 ft long iron rod
>Internals are manufactured worse than something you'd buy at walmart
>Operating system in general is basically just a bolt action rifle someone attempted to convert to semi auto and it shows in every single aspect
>Flimsy components
>Poor accuracy without a ton of work put into it

Your mom could talk about a few ;)

More than likely, my mom lived a long life, had 4 kids and 3 husbands.

Literally no one who has been issued an Mk. 14 has liked it.

Well, to be procise, the valmet m76
Maybe it was the overhype from the Internet, or because it was a valmet. Either way, the gun felt just normal and rather unexciting and almost disappointing. Something about it made it less fun than my aks.
The sights were top notch though.
>>
>>31110970
It's not good, but it's not nearly as bad as you described it.
>>
>>31111011
In the end, it's just a well-refined AK. Not to disrespect it in any way. Not much to get hype over though unless it's your primary raifu.
>>
>>31104125
Seconded. This thing feels like a fucking boat.

Shooting it wasn't much better either. The trigger was complete ass and the recoil was surprisingly stout for a 5.56 rifle

>Maybe it was the overhype from the Internet
The sheer amount of retarded Upottefucks who cream their shit-stained underwear over it because they made it their 'raifu' is painfully obvious here. And before that you still had a decent amount of people who swore up and down that it was the absolute pinnacle of AK design and couldn't be any more perfect. Nevermind that 95% of these people had never, ever even held one.

I own an M1A3 with Steyr 1.5x scope

>it feels heavy (as heavy as a tavor)
>the scope isn't illuminated for what ever fucking reasons the Austrians came up with
>can suppress it well
>safety digs into your trigger finger
>>
>>31111040
That's what happens when you design the externals before the internals.

I enjoyed shooting the AUG, but the factory scope is probably one of the shittiest issue optics I've ever beheld.
>>
>>31111047
Well, it weighs about the same as a Tavor, so yes, obviously. I don't particularly care for the scope either, its pretty shit. I'm assuming you meant to type can't, but I encountered no such struggle bus in getting mine to hush up. Also, your trigger finger must be a polish sausage if it rests all the way up on the safety. I have a decent amount of space where my hand rests.

I wonder if the x95 is any better. I know the trigger is supposed to be better, and the pistol grip seems to have a more vertical, which is good.
>>
>>31111118
The x95 is very pedestrian compared to the regular tavor. The legitimate israeli service ones may be alright, but of the ones I handled at the NRA convention, I thought the standard tavor was miles ahead of it in quality and general robustness.

You should see some of the crazy airsoft shit that's out there. There are some companies such as Inokatsu that makes full CNC steel airsoft GBB pistols.

Pic related, it's one of their full steel M1911A1's, they go for about $800.
