Find a company that doesn't use Boltaron for cheap holster shells.

they are cheap. they fall apart. they will send you another one when it does.

I think their wait times are tolerable now so it might be worth it to get one, especially for a sometimes carry gun that isn't worth spending lots on a holster

Heard good things about Aliengear, heard good things about comp-tac, nearly bought a Travis Haley INCOG except the wait time was through the roof when I first got my CC permit earlier this year, so I finally ended up with a Galco KingTuk.

I'm not really "supposed to" carry at work (stupid federal laws and such), so really I only get to carry it on the weekends or the small margins of time I'm not at work, but it's been great so far.

Very light and comfortable, even with my Glock 26 loaded 10+1 and a cheap-ish leather belt, I almost forget I'm wearing it at times, and have caught myself checking to make sure I had it. Good retention too, I've never had it leave my holster when I haven't meant for it to.

The only thing is, when they say to use locktite on those little Chicago screws that hold the metal clips on, you better do it.
I lost two of them at one time when I was out of town, and I was very lucky that the Lowe's there had them in nearly the same size I needed and I was able to make them fit.

Also, how to clean a leather-backed holster? It's gotten kinda dark and dingy since I've had it, I guess from body heat and sweat?

at first I saw appendix and got really excited, but then I went and bought this thing and realized appenix probably wont work out.

im set for a 9-8 o clock position, but im struggling between iwb and owb.

6'2, 200 pounds I got a big ass. if that makes a difference

Take a look at Raw Dog Tactical. Cheap single clip IWB holster. I carry a G19 too, and it makes it balances the weight very well.
FWIW I work at the airport, so I only weekend carry. And I mostly carry while riding a motorcycle, so I don't haven't tried appendix carry.

Alien gear owner here, I fucking hate it. Got is as a gift a few years ago for a then new shield, used it for a long time. Only redeeming factor is the metal clips. Don't waste money on anything with plastic clips.
My replacement for my old aliengear is a vedder. Would recommend and will buy again.

I used to have a piece of Aliegear shit. When I sold the gun it was for I threw it in the trash, didn't want to offer it to purchaser because it sucked cock and I gave him my nice holsters for the gun.

Since falling for the Alienmeme, I have moved on to better things.

For me at least, KRounds is local. They have good customer service, have done great custom work for me in the past, and price is fine for me.

To a certain extent, a Kydex holster is a Kydex holster--- assuming it is actual Kydex (it's a brand of thermoplastic). So if there is someone local to you who has good customer service, good custom work, and a good price I would give them a look.

Otherwise KRounds is the way to go IMO

Mine sees limited use, I use it to carry a P320 compact, and I am limited to 4-5ish, I am 5'10" and 158lbs. I got the cloak tuck OWB with it, which was great for winter carry under a heavy jacket.
I've since started to get single clip IWB holsters for my compact/medium frame pistols since I "discovered" them when I was gifted a LCP and a DeSantis summer heat holster.
