I know a lot but I won't say I know everything. I just haven't touched up on halal practices in a long time because it's something I don't really think about. I know a prayer has to be said but I'm not 100% sure if a knife HAS to be used.

no. in fact, it's the opposite. no amount of imams can bless that meat to make it halal. same for it ever being kosher, the animal was slain too brutally for it to satisfy either halal or kosher laws
