I live on the 5th floor of my apartment building. The only entrance is the front door, which I can barricade the front door with. I should be able to store enough water to last me some days if the water system shuts down. And I should have sufficient food to last me almost a week. This should allow me to ride out the initial outbreak of zombies. After a week, the chaos would have subsided, as most people would have turned into zombies. At home, I own a glock and a couple hundred of rounds, so this should prove to be more than enough to kill scores of them if I have to. If I ever have to escape, I can go to the balcony and scale down to ground level and leave by foot.

If it's a 28 days later kind of outbreak, then we can likely just barricade up in our homes for a month and wait for the infected to starve. Though the military would probably roll in on day 5 wearing MOPP gear and clean up pretty well, since the Rage zombies are technically still alve and don't require headshots. It's actually a really high chance of survival in this case, and a minimal chance of it actually spreading worldwide.

We could also use the ensuing chaos to clear out a borough of "infected" in some shithole, and finally establish a /k/ompound.
