Sup /k/, /k/raut here

I can apply for a firearms license in April, so I'm looking for a handgun to buy then. It's going to be for target shooting and maybe IPSC. I've been trying various firearms in my shooting club, ranging from a Luger (Which I liked very much, but is not suitable for IPSC), over various Glocks (I hated the trigger on these) and a USP that felt and shot amazing. I also got to fingerfuck a SFP9/VP9, but didn't get to shoot it. So far I'm circling around a HK as my first gun, more specifically the SFP9/VP9 and the P30, because I like the grip very much. Which one should I get? The SFP retails for 200€ less than the P30, but I like hammer fired pistols and I fear that there won't be any holsters for it available in Germany. Any tips?

Get a Beretta 87 Target if you want to actually shoot.
>>
>>31069651
I tried a few Berettas, but I didn't really like how they felt in my hands
>>
have you tried a CZ?
>>
how about a Sig Sauer 226?
or cz 75? those are much cheaper then Sigs
>>
>>31069680
Yup, our club has a CZ75 for rent. It was okay, but not close to what I want

>>31069693
No one I know owns a Sig
>>
>>31069697
what do you want in your handgun?
>>
>>31069724
Good grip, reliably eats any ammunition I feed it, good trigger. And not more expensive than 900€ new

If you want something striker fired and don't like glock/HK triggers then you should definitely 100% check out the Sig P320 compact.

If you're going hammer fired, you can't go wrong with a USP.

I mean, it's up to you. USPs have the best triggers in h&k. vp9 is a pretty damn good trigger. the p30 trigger is really long, in both pull and reset. It's not something lots of people like. I personally am okay with it, and I like hammer fired guns, so it came down to vp9 and p30 for me, and I went p30

pic not mine, but damn, the xc1 is a sexy little light
>>
>>31070161
I guess I will go and check if I can try a P30 when I get my license.

>tfw you can't mount any lights or lasers to your gun, because laws
>>
>>31069279
Are you me? I´m can apply in april as well. But I already bought two guns (Colt Python and Sig 210-6) because I have no restraint. I´d say go for a USP variant, the Tactical should be perfect for you.
>>31069697
What kind of poorfag club are you in? I´ve already shot a 220, a X-5 and a X-6 Supermatch. Wasn´t impressed by the 220, but the other ones are amazing.
>>
>>31070266
How can you buy 2 guns already, when you don't have your license yet?

>poorfag club

It's a small club with around 100 members of which almost half only shoots airrifles and .22lr
>>
If I want a pistol in December, I'll go for a shadow 2. Sigs are just too expensive for me while l'm not really feeling them. SP-01 was a natural match.
That said I will probably go with a rifle first.
>>
>>31070293
You can do the same thing if you see a great deal. Just ask rhe guy selling the gun to store it for you. Most do it for free or for a small fee. Otherwise, companys like Waffen-Bock store anything for you until you got your license. And you could ask your club to put the gun on the clubs WBK. they just transfer it to you once you can actually own guns.

My club is pretty much the same, but we have a few posers with extremly expensive guns. The old FUDDs mostly stick to 22, airrifles or getting drunk. If you are in such as small, probably DSB club? How do you intent to participate in IPSC? You need to be a member of BDS to get into IPSC.
>>
>>31070293
>poorfag club
I mean we have the old fudds as well, but even with only 15-20 active large bore members I could try a x-6 supermatch, Peter's Stahl, MR308 and some 4k Sig rifle.
>>
>>31070328
>DSB
Yup we're associated with the RSB/DSB, but with the BDS too, so IPSC is not a problem. I also have a friend in a mainly BDS associated club where I could try out some rifles

Both are great guns. Honestly though, I like the trigger in the VP9 better than my V3 DA/SA trigger. But after owning it for a few months I'm better with the hammer fired.
>>
>>31070373
That´s a pretty sweet deal. My gun club is DSB only, but I´ve applied for membership in a BDS/BDMP SLG. I could not imagine being DSB only for my entire life. DSB is FUDD city
>50 year old guy who has been shooting for his entire life doesn´t know what .308 looks like
>old guy loaded the bullets the wrong way around when handling a 9mm
>people spending 1.5k for a air rifle but less than 300 for a 9mm

I´d probably leave the DSB, but the people at the club are mostly pretty cool, it´s close and open 4x a week.

>tfw some clubs don´t even have a 25m handgun range

>>
>>31070418
Yeah, but we only have the 25m range for up to 1500joule, so no longfuns, I have to drive 40 minutes to the one of my friend. But it could be worse. Our local DSB club only shoots .22 and if you want to join, you have to shoot airrifle for at least a year before being allowed to shoot those. Also they wear green uniforms and hate everything big bore, especially if it's black. Fuddcity indeed
>>
>>31070440
That's a pretty good group
>>
>>31070468
Same here, 44Mag is the highest calibre possible.
People also wear green jackets there, but I won´t, ever. The thing with the air rifles is really dumb, a lot of local clubs still do this and wonder why they´re dying. No self-respecting grown man is going to shoot air rifles for a year if BDS SLGs let every asshole shoot 9mm on their first day.

Exactly my point. Hopefully the Olympiakasper learn some day Our club clothing is black polo shirts with our logo, which is only worn at events of some kind (We host concerts and other stuff)

>>31070534
pic related. Some clubs in Germany do this, mostly the ones that concentrate more on drinking and not on shooting. Those are our fudds. They hate everything above .22lr

I like those hats.

Your descriptions of them remind me of the old guys who shoot those weird tube guns that are single shot, and bolted to the table, so they don't move at all when you pull the trigger.

I forget the name of the guns, but there are a lot of old timers who are obsessed with them and shoot nothing else.

That's the one.

I also hear the reloading aspect of it is crucial. Guys all have their own special powder setups and they measure every component extremely precisely. Some folks just love it.

A tad sterile for my tastes, but whatever floats your boat i suppose haha.

>>
>>31069279
P30 is a solid choice. However I invite you to reconsider the glock. It is incredibly cheap and easy to install one of the myriad aftermarket triggers to make the gun perform any way you like. The trigger is the guns only real weakness.
>>
>>31072089
That might be an option for 25m target shooting, but not for shooting IPSC production. I will see if I get another after the P30 or the SFP

And the finger grooves
And the shitty fit and finish
And the KABOOMS
And the grip texture
And the terrible ergonomics
And the cheap plastic sights
And the grip angle
And the blocky looks and feel
And the glock not being perfection
