HOW DO WE FIGHT BACK?
So I just found out Massachusetts Banned All Semi-Autos Overnight (old news ik) a few weeks after Commiefornia (my home state) basically did the same thing. and i know NY is already like this

I'm genuinely concerned for my rights, and the future of the country. what's the 2A if the states can just superseded it?

I say again
>HOW DO WE FIGHT BACK? (at least semi-Legally)
>>
Shoot all your democrate state reps that's perfectly legal
>>
>>31069120
I gave up a long time ago take that as you will
>>
>>31069120

>a few weeks after Commiefornia (my home state) basically did the same thing

WRONG

Anything that required a Bullet Button now requires registration as a salty gun and new sales are a no-go. This is enforced through the state DROS (active for longguns since 2013). However, CA compliant AR rifle grips have been around since the first federal AWB so most people are just swapping those on. Yeah it's bullshit but don't spout misinformation. It was Gavin Newsom that pushed for a semiauto ban and moderate Democrats told him to fuck off because even they knew it wouldn't stand a chance in even the state courts. AR-15s with compliant grips can still be purchased and made without registration.

Also the larger battle is the handgun roster, which is a defacto pistol ban (except for Rugers). This is also how 80% 1911 kits have gotten to be popular as the state is pushing microstamping for all new roster applications.

>>
>>31069120
That's going to be a great lawsuit.
>>
>>31069305
No, they have a list of allowed semi-autos. There are some you can still buy, as long as they don't share any "military features" or are a copycat of a banned weapon, even if they are made without the previously banned features.
>>
>>31069302

At least you can own new model handguns. Do you realize the insane markup for new handguns here? Almost all Glocks (except for the two or three models on the roster and in production) costs 2-3 times the MSRP as you have to buy it off a police officer or someone who has friends out of state. Of course there's always private transactions across the state border but that's also legally questionable.

fucksake the GOP even run the Senate in NY, unlike here in CA where the state party won't remove their head from their ass. You got plenty of tools to unfuck yourself.

>>31069305

New England is the only part of the US more liberal than California. It's also where all the liberals in California come from.
>>
non-compliance
>>
>>31069305

No there aren't. M1Garand is legal in all 50 states. Also, in all these states it is also possible to conceal carry a handgun (NYC being an exception) unlike in Canuckistan.
>>
>>31069320
>>31069321

Ok thank makes sense. It would really suck if they banned older semi autos like the Garand in the states. It would be unAmerican

>>31069332
I agree anon. I wouldn't be surprised if they forced us to put GPS in our ass for owning a pistol. I guess anything to make liberals feel safe.
>>
>>31069324
hypothetically if one were to moving to a free state with plans to eventually move back and they want to buy an AK while in free state, and buy a bullet button and 10 round mags (to screw on when they go back to use while at ranges in CA)
meanwhile removing bullet button & using 30 rounders inadesert
>what are /k/'s thoughts on this?

>>
>>31069358
The entire thing is already unAmerican... at least the America I grew up in. We'll see what the future holds. It also doesn't bode well for other countries that still have a semblance of firearms ownership. Imagine how fast other countries would jump on something like this if it were nationwide. "Look, America finally realized it has a problem and banned scary black salt rifles, so we should tighten up our gun laws even more."
>>
>>31069120
Not much you can do long term besides stockpile ammo, get training, and stockpile supplies. Short term get out and vote "not Hillary" this November.

It's going to come to blows. There is no other outcome with the traitors pushing these things. They will happily trample whatever rights you have and laws they don't like to get their bans in place. They will proudly cross whatever line you've drawn in the sand and they'll do it thinking they're safe and untouchable in their ivory towers. It's only really a matter of time. If you think otherwise you don't realize how ridiculously arrogant these people are. They're fucking crazy and it's god damn terrifying.

If Hillary wins and the dems take congress we're fucked. They'll do it federally after fast tracking the most anti-gun supreme court justices they can. First ruling will seriously be that the 2nd only applies to cops and the military, they'll run wild from there.

Our only hope right now is that our side takes the presidency and/or holds supermajority in congress. I don't give a fuck if you think it's useless, get out and fucking vote. Hopefully we can hold off Civil War 2 for a decade or two.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I have zero confidence in these people realizing they're marching us towards some seriously bad times.
>>
>>31069461
Why prolong it anon? Some of us look forward to the cleansing fire of a brutal second civil war... Id personally vote for shillary myself if i thought that would bring it about faster, but I live in a red state so why bother.

Uhhh, MA bro here. They didn't "ban" all semi-autos overnight, the attorney general released a "directive" to reinforce the already established "assault weapons" ban. You can still get ARs and shit.

Don't get me wrong though I'm still pissed about it.
Here in MA we have a list of "approved firearms" which the attorney general's office approves. So the new AG is accusing firearm manufacturers of "side-stepping" the old ban. It's bullshit though because the AG's office approves the sale of every firearm in MA, and they are making it sound like the manufacturer's fault. If the AG's office /really/ thought copy-cat guns were the problem, they would have simply not approved them for sale in MA. This directive is just a massive "progressive" grandstand because of Orlando.

Push back. Organize. Wake people up. Threaten public officials with the only thing they fear...votes. VOTE

>Muh single vote can't stop the blue tide!

In the 2014 midterm election only 36.4 percent of eligible voters turned out to vote. The Republicans got something like 52 percent of that, so we can fairly assume with the presidential election data that about 50 percent of all Americans are Republican.

So less than half of eligible Republicans showed up to vote. If we just doubled the number who vote, so from 18 percent actually showing up to vote we got 36 percent of the total to be Republican then Red would DOMINATE the elections.

This board is literally INSANE. People are asking what "semi-legal" things we could do outside of ACTUAL CIVIL WAR when almost no one votes. Just go fucking vote, it's easy.
>>
>>31069653
It cannot, but some faggots will be along shortly to point to a handful of victories for us as evidence that we are winning.

The Supreme Court hangs in the balance, millennials are the biggest bunch of cucks to ever be called Americans and will being to assume positions of power in the near future, and CA, CT, MA, and NY are still going full tilt at this issue. These people will cite defeat of or non-compliance with things like the safe act as evidence of victory without considering that unprecedented attacks like that have actually been successfully passed and implemented without notable opposition.
>>
>>31069739
If not that, then what are our actual motives? Last I checked we had the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from overbearing governments.
>>
>>31069723
its not a THOUSAND TIMES BETTER. it is a very good thing and necessary to vote without money, but the NRA is an integral part of the process.

that said, strengthening the firearms industry so they can fight for the 2A with serious resources is very important. Like birds.
>>
>>31069740
>muh voting

The demographic shift in this country will soon render this argument irrelevant. Guns are a white male issue and the power of that voting block has slipped substantially and is now teetering on the precipice.

We aren't there yet, but have you given any thought to what happens when your vote becomes nothing but an impotent gesture?

>>31069739
kys. Political correctness and pretending the second amendment is about hunting and personal defense and why this have slipped this far.
>>
>>31069747
Millenial here, I disagree with this. I own multiple funs and have "converted" 5 people personally from indifference or even opposition to gun ownership. I'm fairly well armed and well trained, I follow the news (although completely distrust MSM), work hard, associate with people well, and am anything but the usual useless millenial stereotype.

I'm also nothing special, there are literally milltions more just like me, unless you believe that stupid meme.

Its true that there are a lot of completely worthless human beings in my generation, but thats happened to every generation since the 60's at least. I for one, think we're better off than the last several, we're much better armed and politically aware at the very least.
>>
>>31069324
This.

It's how we beat the NFA and every BATFE "ruling" or "opinion" too.
>>
>>31069776
I will grant you that millennials have shown greater support for guns than others, but they also lean very left. Although there are leftists who support guns, this is not the norm. Millennials will support people who push socialist policies without giving consideration to guns. They do not understand the second amendment as it was intended and therefore do not give it priority. They are not unique in this regard, but it puts the 2A at risk.
>>
>>31069740
Republicans and democrats are anti-gun(Reagan) or pro-gun(Sanders) depending on political mood of the voters. If the media will keep spewing fear among the sheep even the heaviest pro-gun Republican will change his mind.
>>
>>31069774
Don't mine me, just advocating for the apocalypse here...

You do realize that the "cucks", the niggers, the niggerish mexicans and the feminists, their "new age" friends and the millennials who are beyond useless will be killed in disproportionately large numbers during the inevitable coming civil war, right?

They'll die either fighting each other, during home invasions and street robberies in the absence of rule of law, or from secondary causes (lack of food, water, tumblr, etc).

Who wins no matter what? Us. The hardworking, useful white folks who also happen to own guns and (we better) know our neighbors. It'll be a great purge of everyone else [non-nigging mexicans and asianbros, you can come too]. As an added bonus, the current federal government wont be making it out intact either, its barely holding on to its legitimacy and popular support through "good" times, theres no way itll survive the civil war thats on the horizon, lets be realistic here.

So, we stand to lose the worthless "minorities", the endless control of our current shadow government, and the effects of cultural marxism on our society all in one fell swoop.

I dont know what'll kick this off, but I look forward to the day it happens.
>>

Another millennial reporting in to say that while I'm not who he describes, he's pretty much right. I don't have a lot of friends my age because they just piss me off so god damned much for all of those reasons and more.
>>
>>31069857
Same, all the people I know my age (23) (friends of friends) are pot smoking degenerates who hate scary black rifles, love gays and muslims, and were voting for Bernie but now for Hillary because "Drumpf is racist!" And they all have basic ass memes.
>>
>>31069857
So, why dont you do something about it? The authenticity of a quality redpilling from a liked associate or friend in real life is strong enough to undo almost instantly years of leftist propaganda. It worked on me. It works much better than whining on a Montana beastiality forum...
>>
>>31069899
Pot smoking millennial degenerate here who lives an alternative lifestyle.

I'm slowly converting my previously progressive wife. She shot an AR-15 for the first time yesterday at Norwottuck and loved it. I am hoping to convert as many kinky folk I meet in my life to the progun light.

Also, If conservatives weren't so dead set on ruining the gays right to marry, a lot of them would be voting republican.
>>
>>31069857
I am technically a millennial as well. I don't understand why people don't understand that everyone knows there are exceptions when making generalizations. I am well aware that not everyone fits what I described, I am one of those exceptions. The fact that one's social groups is an exception also doesn't disprove the rule because we typically associate with people who have similar values and interests.

Polling data shows slighter higher levels of support for gun ownerships (low 50% for millenials vs high 40% for boomers), but it is pretty inconsequential. Polling also shows high support for ending private sales and many other infringements which are often leveled as "common sense". Millennials love to think they are oh so pragmatic and fall for shit like that all the time.
>>
>>31069940
>the gays right to marry
I really REALLY wish the republicans would just drop it.

They need to have "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" yelled at them religiously until they figure it out.
>>
>>31069595

Everytime I browse around gun store sites, they specifically forbid sales to MA on all their semi-autos. Some even make giant red banners on the top of the page explicitly saying this. Even if you can still buy them within the state, that kind of legal uncertainty is still a de facto ban.

Are the authorities actually going to enforce it, though? Colorado has the same issue for buying 16+ round magazines online, but most police departments will happily wave you by as you return from your Wyoming "hunting vacation" with 50 magazines in your back seat.
>>
>>31069408
Don't buy the cuck button or cuck mags. Anything you purchase while a resident of another state, they don't need to know about.
>>
>>31069967
>I really REALLY wish the republicans would just drop it.
Trump is forcing them to drop it at the federal level. He's been the more pro-gay candidate this cycle since he wants to not import thousands of people that throw gays off of buildings, and shoot them in nightclubs.
>>
>>31069940
>If conservatives weren't so dead set on ruining the gays right to marry, a lot of them would be voting republican.

Considering that the supreme Court settled that issue and Trump is in no way a religious right candidate, show me the data which shows "a lot" of gays switching sides.

The truth is that homosexuals lean left on average and gay marriage has little to do with their support for Democrats. Hillary Clinton, Obama, and most other Democrats publicly declared their opposition to gay marriage in the past and yet gays didn't jump ship.
>>
>>31069408

Repubs aren't exactly trying to get the gay vote at all, and there hasn't been any major election since the supreme court ruling.

You cant expect the fags to IMMEDIATELY jump ship on the dems because all of a sudden they're allowed to marry. The repubs need to actively try to repair their image with the gays. They aren't doing that.
>>
>>31069899

>>31069922

And it will keep happening until you have no power whatsoever
>>
>>31070021
So they need to pander to fags? What does that even mean? What special attention do they require?

I thought homosexuals were people too. I thought they had the same sort of interests and concerns as the rest of us. If they supoort ideas advocated by Republicans they would support Republicans. You shouldn't need to lube up and offer your ass to them.

Mind as well be NY at this point
>>
>>31070083
Unfortunately while that may be true, if you agree with certain ideals then you should vote with people who think the same ideas.

Homos are people too, but after decades of conservatives trampling on your rights, how keen are you to go researching political common ground after your rights were upheld by a supreme court decision.

Same is held true for more than the gays. I doubt any of us go researching common ground policies put forth by the Left. Because they try to trample upon our rights consistently.
>>
>>31069293

To add onto this, Newsom's semiauto ban didn't even get through committee whilist Brown's Bullet Button ban did. It's shit, but I also don't have much sympathy for people as the BB was always a loophole and everyone knew it was eventually going to get patched. The vast, VAST, majority of ARs in CA already have rifle grips (if only to use public ranges) anyway so it's not really a problem even though it's shit.

And yes, the Roster is a way bigger infringement on our liberties and needs to be taken down first.

True, and then Orlando happened. Gays started arming in record numbers, to the point that the MSM couldn't ignore it anymore.

Now we have more gun owners, in an underrepresented demographic. That alone isn't going to swing them to the right, but they're going to be less inclined to vote for candidates who want to disarm them.

Meanwhile, the Republicans need to make room in the tent. With a little bit of spin, this could be a watershed moment for the GOP. Two pillars of the Dem powerbase are blacks and welfare hispanics. Those are also two notoriously homophobic demographics. If the gays move right, they're bringing a lot of the white guilt types with them.

Get in contact with your local 2A legal aid organization and suggest a petition for a ballot measure to repeal unconstitutional gun laws. These are popular votes, not driven by representatives, and the voters drive the outcome.

If it passes, congratulations: you have restored the rule of the people.

If it fails: bummer. The will of the people was already expressed.

Go start a petition and get it in the ballot. Be specific about *which* laws you want repealed. Do a separate one for each law so dissent on one doesn't doom them all.

Hey OP, New Yorker here.

Don't listen to their horseshit, your rifles aren't illegal. The definition of an "Assault Weapon" is totally arbitrary, and is in violation of the constitution. However, in relation to your post; From the NY SAFE ACT:

(d) any of the weapons, or functioning frames or receivers of such
weapons, or copies or duplicates of such weapons, in any caliber, known
as:
(i) Norinco, Mitchell, and Poly Technologies Avtomat Kalashnikovs (all
models);
(ii) Action Arms Israeli Military Industries UZI and Galil;
(iii) Beretta Ar70 (SC-70);
(iv) Colt AR-15;
and more....

Gun stores are still selling stripped lowers and psuedo-legal AR-15s, which are "copies or duplicates". The law bans any rifle with a detachable mag and one feature: pistol grips, muzzie brakers, collapsible stocks, bayo lugs.

NYers at least can literally bypass the entire fucked law by putting an MR2 mag release on their rifle. Yeah, it's not ideal, but you should if you visit public ranges. If you have private land to shoot on, fuck it.

tl;dr SHALL

I'd ask you to consider the libertarian party, especially with Gary Johnson seeing a huge upswing in popularity right now. Libertarians want to let you be gay or straight or whatever, own whatever guns you want, smoke pot if you want, or do none of the above if you want. As long as you're not hurting others it's all about freedom (the real kind).

the worst part of this whole thing is if it accepts 1 part of a banned weapon, those weapons are banned aswell. features include charging handle, trigger, grip, bolt and even magazine. This makes mossberg bolt action that uses stanag mags illegal in mass.

Millennial here.

It's true that a lot of millenials are libtards, but far more are almost entirely apolitical. True SJWs are becoming increasingly uncommon and political correctness is becoming far less preveleant, a lot of millennials are suprisngly redpilled on the JQ too. Although I have only seen it through the Internet, it seems like Resonably sized minority of high school aged millenials are are actively revolting against the current establishment's cultural marxism. Shit was pozzed as all hell when I was in shool 3 years ago, I can't imagine how bad it is now. It's inevitable that shitlording becomes a massively popular form of rebellion.

Millennial and college student here.

I agree somewhat. Unis are still a breeding ground for liberal bullshit fed to students by professors who went to school, graduated from school, and taught school, never actually being in the real world, and the students blindly follow them.

While fewer may be all-out libtards compared to say, the start of 2016, and are now becoming more and more anti-establishment, this is only because it came out that the Dems rigged the election so that Bernie, the champion of millennial leftists, couldn't win.

Hopefully the rising number of millennials voting for Johnson is a step in the right direction, enlightening the former libs to personal freedom and common sense (as long as they aren't leftists, I don't care what party they are), and hopefully retaining at least the majority of Dems-turned-Libertarians stay with the Libertarian party.

While the most are definitely apolitical, when voting time comes, they'll vote Hillary because of muh feelings and all the bullshit media propaganda against Trump. Political ignorance makes me afraid for my country's future, and I don't trust my fellow millennial voters as a whole to preserve the American ideals.

Millennial here living in cuck Austin, Texas

When I was going to school there were quite a few faggots who preached evil guns should be banned and stuff and it usually always stemmed from some argument about how society has no place for them or whatever. I'm former active duty Marine so obviously I enjoy things like my shiny new 74.

As much as I love guns though it honestly kind of feels weird that any dickface can buy what is essentially a military service rifle. I guess it has more to do with the fact that post-enlistment, I've seen a lot of people in person who have no idea how to operate and received no professional training with those kinds of rifles so they don't respect them like someone in LE or military would. I've had dudes hand me loaded rifles with the safety off and shit like that on numerous different occasions and it fucking pisses me off.

At the same time, I think it's total bullshit that politicians who represent states like California rile up the population into believing that disarming civilians will somehow stop crime. DVD's are illegal to copy and look how well torrenting is prospering. It's fuckin unreal

You do know that government training isn't the best training out there and a real operator checks his weapon first and always before he fingers the trigger.
Being pissed off that a loaded weapon with the safety off is handed to you is just your brainwashing showing. Check the fucking gun and just watch what others are doing if you are worried about safety. Getting pissed off about weapon safety is what drill sergeants do because 80 IQ recruits are average recruits. Trust me I'm old and they didn't give a shit in my time, in my grandfathers time they were pissed when there wasn't a round in the chamber.

Yeah, that's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. I'm not in the middle of a firefight, I'm at the range. Handing someone a loaded rifle with the safety off is shit etiquette.

Besides, you're zeroing on that one issue. They do shit like run with their rifles with little muzzle-awareness and set the weapon back on the table without clearing it out, only relying on the "ran-empty" notion.

If that's the kinda shit you like shooting with then by all means, shoot with retards... Nancy.

the middle class had to much of a standard of living.

give it 10 or so years and you'll see it change. not that this is good.

the government has no more financial ammo for the upcoming downturn (which already started)

over the next 8 years during the 'upswing' the middle class will be gutted even more.

this equates to more government reliance.

that's when it breaks, and that's when people get mad (not over gun rights)

>Unis are still a breeding ground for liberal bullshit fed to students by professors

I've said this before and there are still people who don't seem to fucking get it.
Professors are not TRYING to 'brainwash' students, it happens that a lot of reading material happens to be marx/lib stuff. They're trying to get people to just simply know about or at least understand it, but most students are dumb enough to think 'woah dude this stuff totally is right!'. They don't get that you're supposed to develop on your own and make better conversation by knowing what people are talking about and just take these readings as 'we need this shit now'.

tl;dr most college students are just retarded and doing this shit to themselves.
