>At the end of 2016, the Russian Defense Ministry will receive the first delivery of the renewed NK-32 engines for the Tu-160M2 strategic missile-carrying bombers.

>According to the developers, the new engine will help the plane fly up to the stratosphere at an altitude of 60,000 feet.

Let's all welcome russia to the 70s. The B-1B has been able to do this since the first flight, russia will be able to go where tie US has been for over 30 years.
Will russians ever learn?

>"The new NK-32 version can work not only as a reactive plane engine but also as a rocket engine. Thanks to this, the Tu-160M2 will be able to cruise at a height where no enemy anti-aircraft system can strike it," a source in the Russian defense industry said.

maybe it's the fact they american grew so reliant on ww2 era subsonic pieces of trash for their nuclear capability they can't really comprehend that bomber doesn't have to fly directly over fixed target to hit anything with its payload

or maybe because american missile technology is such a joke they can't really begin to grasp what stand-off missile platform is and how far away it will be launching nuclear warhead at new york or l.a.

Not taking into account how Blackjack is being overhauled to 160M2 with new radar, avionics and smaller RCS, while USAF has to cannibalize few scrapyards and museums to keep alive few Lancers they have operational

The real question is why are americans so inept at missiles and air defense. None of those kinetic hit-to-kill interceptors are capable of stopping maneuvering supersonic target, because they're designed to work against purely ballistic threats.
Americans don't have designated missile hunters like MIG31, special jammers like Rychag or point-defense like Pantsir either. While Russians employ whole zoo of supersonic sea-skimmers, stealthy air-based super cruisers and supercavitating torpedoes specifically designed to sink CBGs, wipe out NATO airfields and evade US ballistic missile shields.

That is what the F-4 was called, and it's still technically true, considering the F-4 has shot down 306 aircraft in A2A engagements. The F-15 has 1/3 the A2A victories, but also 1/infinity the losses.
>>

I am going to end the argument and trolling now.

The US has multiple direct energy weapon platforms at various stages of maturity, for all manner of warfare.

No matter how fast a missile is, it is not faster than the speed of light. For each pound of countermeasures a missile has on it to defeat a laser, it becomes larger, and slower, and the laser has even more time to just ding it enough aerodynamically to ruin its flight path, set it into a tumble, and let inertia rip it apart.

>nofun.jpg

The picture is just for example, not a definitive product. Not that you will waste much more time posting here now, as you were trolling.

The reason is because US military policy is offensive, not defensive. Nobody is trying to attack the US, so defensive weapons have been considered unnecessary. Russias military policy has been one of defense, so they have put money and research into defensive weapons.

Brahmos? The USN is yet to come up with credible defense against Malakhit, Bazalt and Granit. Those were designed to work in networked packs, and will be accompanied by Kalibers and Kh101's approaching carrier task force at different altitudes from multiple directions.

By 2018, Blackjack will carry Zircon and this is a hypersonic glider delivering kinetic impact 50x higher than any existing air-ship missile. Even if THAAD had 150km range against maneuvering targets (which won't ever be the case), he'd be too busy hunting AShMs to keep up with the Mach 6 UFO. Americans have no defense nor deterrence against something like that. They're still 100% reliant on Russian RD-180 rocket engines to launch their own military satellites into space, let alone propulse their own hypersonic glider.
>>
>>31057907
>Even if THAAD had 150km range against maneuvering targets (which won't ever be the case)

Also 300 km is retarded short range for AshM, russian blackjack would be burning wrecks long before they get into range, there will always be AWACS on station during combat and undetected F-35s on picket duty. Also that thing won't be manouvering, you either go mach 6 or you manouver in a way THAAD can't catch up with. Try to do both and you'll break into a million pieces.

The Iranians managed to fought them off with literal human waves and dare to die infantry divisions, all the while suffering from a shit economy ravaged by sanctions that also wrecked its hardware as well as widespread purges. This, while Saddam's Iraq had lavish support from both the world's superpowers at the time, had massive advantages in men and material already, and have intact economies and could count on someone to bankroll them anyhow. Not sure if that is the kind of enemy you would be caught dead bragging about beating up.

>Russia struggles against the likes of Ukraine and Georgia which proves that the apparent size of the russian army is irrelevant because it is filled with subhuman troglodytes who are totally inept at war.
The Russians weren't able to mobilize the much needed amount of troops to inflict a curbstomp according to their own plans, yet they wrecked them in record time and the minimum of force anyways. And unlike the Iraqis the Ukrainians and Georgians at least had the inklings of how to conduct modern maneuver warfare. They just weren't lucky the master is right there at there doorstep.

And F-35 relies on satellites and AWACS in order for data fusion to work. On a strike mission, F-35 can only carry two AIM-120D AMRAAMS. Without external targeting, F-35 would have to activate the radar, exposing himself to R77. After that, well...

The F-35 can still carry external stores and still have much lower RCS than anything russia have. Combine that with AIM-120D or MBDA Meteor, both of which are better than anything russia have and the fact that AWACS can spot threats far beyond the range of long range missiles, any Su-27+++ would be a burning wreck before it even got close to fire on an AWACS.

nevermind I found some

The story that media, witnesses, and forum speculators seem to have settled on is that he was thrown out of his shitty velcro straps, thus hitting the safety netting resulting in his decapitation. He then follows the raft down the rest of the course, bouncing off the nets, maybe even getting some sick air at "the hill".

I think a slight variation on that might be closer to the truth:
He goes down the 1st big drop, gaining speed - the slide is made of segments and is not perfectly even. These bumps combined with the speed, then instead of throwing the boy out of the boat into the net, actually propelled the entire boat together all of the passengers into the safety netting. Being a lightweight boy at the tail-end charlie on a raft with two fat women in front, he was whipped into it harder than the women were. He had the most velocity in the normal angle to the netting, thus was driven deeper into it than the other passengers. He gets deep enough into it that when he ran out of slack in the net it basically rips his head from hi body and his body from the raft, out of those shitty velcro straps. He then follows the raft down the rest of the course, bouncing off the nets, maybe even getting some sick air at "the hill".

supporting evidence:
>physics says that without a force other than gravity pulling the raft down, the passengers and the raft follow the same trajectory - he would not have been launched out of his shitty velcro straps just from inertia, some physical thing had to pull him out
>the fat bitches suffered severe facial injuries, showing that they too encountered the net despite not separating from the raft
>the raft was front-heavy and under the minimum allowed weight, justifying the tailwhip scenario that slams a little boy into a net hard enough to catch

Stealth is not an on/off switch you retard. Even with external stores the F-35 will detect any russian shitheap long before it can be locked on in return, not to mention that even if simultaneous lock is acquired, the AIM-120C-7 is far superior to the R-77, not to mention if the F-35 carries Meteors.
Any russian plane would be a burning oil stain well before they could even realistically retaliate and that is without stealth.
Don't come dragging with muh R-77M, there is NO plane in russia that can carry it nor is it ready until the next 10 years.
