18" Ontario, you should have enough for the 2mm economy model but you could also splurge on the standard 3mm model. IMO it's hard to beat Ontario's machetes but the handles will probably require some sanding and/or taping. If you spend a bit more you can get something from Condor or Aranyik, although the latter rarely imports and you'll probably only find Aranyik stuff early next year on Amazon or by contacting Miles @ Bladeforums.
