Acogs, are they worth it? Should I buy one, or would I be better off spending my money on another optic? I have a budget of around $1,500, maybe a little more for the right glass.
Only used them in the military on a fixed stock most of the time. In afghan I just walked around with the carry handle iron sights less weight less shit to lose don't have to worry about dirty glass thus easier. From my very limited use of the acog I personally would not buy at full price. What picture is that of? LA riot?
>>31014832
story? looks familiar to some racist negros hunting whites during the LA riots
>>31015059
Yup, LA riots, and I plan in looking around for a decent private sale.

Reginald Denny. Pulled out of his truck and beaten at the LA riots. He was actually saved by an old black couple who saw it on TV, hopped in their car and drove him to the hospital. /pol/ likes to leave out that part of the story

I'm glad to know when niggers are out there threatening to dismantle civilization there will be a small group out there fighting against them. That pretty much cancels out any detrimental effects of living around them. That makes living around them totally okay in my book now.
You can get a really nice variable 1-4 or 1-6 for the price of the acog. I'm really digging the Vortex Razor 1-6

ACOGs are great if you want a rifle to patrol with. They are absolutely as tough as optics come, and for a magnified optic, they are quite compact. The illumination strip on the TA31 makes the reticle very bright, and it is distinct enough that using the TA31 as a kind of CCO with the bindon aiming method is very easy to do.
If the durability and compactness are important to you, the ACOG is worth it. If you don't need/want durability or compactness, you can get another optic for cheaper; there are a lot of magnified optics that will do that job and not break in the course of normal range use, but you can't toss them on the ground and expect them to still work the way you can with an ACOG.
Have an acog on my Aug a3, its nice.
I carried one in the service so I'm familiar with it but I had to flip the mount bracket because of the bolt lock on my Steyr. Double check the BDC for the right grainage of your bullet choice so it will be accurate at ranges

Samefag, forgot to mention. If you buy used verify its not a GI issued one.
Secondly, for the price there may be other great options. In the 1000-2000 price range for glass there are many amazing options. My favorite thing about my acog is it can take a beating and hold its zero.

Check out the primary arms platinum 1x8 is made by the same factory as the vortex razor line. $1300

Never forget that when a minority of coloureds do something good, it's representative of their entire race.
When a klebold or roof shoots up soemthing it's an indicator of inherent "white" (what race is white even) problems.

Mil reticle
>>31016073
or you could just buy a vortex razor for roughly the same price. its great that PA is branching out but i dont know why anyone would pay that much money for an untested "budget" scope brand
>>31016122
Because the PA has better reticle choice, and a lifetime warranty so if it suits the bed they'll fix it
>>31015144
That really made me think.
>>31016122
Yea PA is full of retards and Trijicon is must be retarded as well because they licensed one of their "budget" reticles for their ACOGs.
>>31016073
Ya, or i could just get a razor hd gen 2 and have the iron-clad warranty
>>31015258
Please post your AUG. I want to put an ACOG on mine here sometime.
If I could get a s&b short dot, would that be a worthwhile alternative to an acog?
>>31016256
It weighs about the same, you get 2x more zoom with PA. PA service is top notch.
>>31016310
>that barrel
Holy fucking shit please SBR that it's awful.
>>31016889
No you stupid nigger
The whole point is having a 20" barrel in an sbr sized package, you have to be baiting me if you don't realize that. Your profound misunderstanding (deliberate or otherwise) leads me to wonder if you realize I can put the 16" back on whenever the fuck I like, since it's a fucking AUG.

Reginald Denny, perfect example why you don't stop. Fuck BLM, keep it moving.
fixed magnification is obsolete. pick a red dot or low power variable.
>>31015230
Eyebox really sucks on the 1-6. I'd imagine the eyebox sucks on all the high magnification 1-x scopes.
>>31016780
Battery life sucks and the reticle is so fine, it's useless once the battery dies. But fat fuck vickers swears by them

>implying when one nigger does something bad he doesn't automatically become the black standard of the race
Sure, it only happens to whites.
>>31016972
I heard bullpups have really long triggers. Does it make longer precision shooting challenging?
>>31017307
Longer isn't the word I would use, but it is different, yes. I'm of the opinion that trigger pull is a training issue, and should not affect ones marksmanship once you are familiar with it. That said I've only taken it out to about 200 meters, and was satisfied with the rifle's performance, trigger included.
