So I would like to buy my dad a new holo sight for his birthday to go on his AR. I need a good sight for an affordable price, help me out guys.

If you want to venture more into the $400-$500 area, consider the Aimpoint PRO and the Trijicon MRO. Much more expensive than the first two but they are incredibly robust. If your dad doesn't put hard use into his gun and you just want to get him a budget red dot that won't get fucked and lose zero, get either the Vortex or Primary Arms.

bushnell makes one(i dont know what relation it has to eotech). i think meopro or someone else also makes a holographic.
but an eotech is pretty much your best bet. a used 512 is in your budget, id spend more and get an xps series though

i have an Eotech 552 with a vortex magnifier. best sight i have ever used, i couldnt be happier. yeah there a bit expensive but that 1moa dot in the middle is so sexy unnnnnn
