i purchased an AR-15 about a month ago. i have yet to even fire it.
did i fall for the AR meme? does this happen frequently?
nobody really shoots their guns here, assuming they have one
>>30997309
Go shoot it you big faggot.
A lot of people here don't shoot their guns, you don't have to be one of them.
>>30997309
Nope,i own plenty of guns I've yet to shoot.
>>30997309
Why havent you taken it to the range?
Until you stop hitting off center with it, keep taking it to a range.
>>30997309
unless the gun is purely a collectors piece. I don't buy a new gun unless i have shot the last one I bought.
>>30997309
I own three (and 40ish other guns) and rarely shoot mine outside of the suppressed 9mm sbr. They're great guns but if you dint think they're a whole lotta fun to shoot I get ya. I think you should shoot yours and figure that out tho.
>owned an ar for two years now
>confident in saying that I haven't passed the 300 round mark on it yet
>>30997309
You SHOULD go out and shoot it sometime, but as the great warrior poet Ice Cube once said, if the day does not require an AK, it is a good day.

Fucking how? I went through almost that many just tonight.
What do low volume shooters do at the range? I'm not constantly spraying bullets downrange or anything, I'm taking aimed shots and trying to either hit targets or make good groups, but I was at the range from 6-8 tonight and went through ~200 .223 and 100 9mm, then went around and collected all my spent cartridges and the ones other people left there (someone there was apparently shooting .44 Russian earlier, fucking wut).
I guess it might just be that the range I'm at is quiet as fuck and I'm the only one there half the time so I don't have to wait to go reset targets or anything but still.

Bumping this before I go to bed because I'm legitimately curious.
I forgot to mention, about 20 minutes of that time was me talking to a guy who is basically a volunteer maintenance man at the range since I've never seen him before.
>see man at range shooting his AR at a target <30 yards away
>AR has scope and long barrel
>why has god abandoned us
>>30997309
I have lots of guns I've never shot. Don't feel bad OP.
>>30997309
Uncle has plenty of guns he's never shot.
I've only never shot 1, a never fired Belgian Browning A5 from 1952 in box.
Probably the only gun that I will own in the next 10 years that I wont fire.

5 long guns, 1 shotgun and 4 handgun owner here.
If I can't get out to a friend's land usually once or twice a year, i'll usually pop into an indoor range at about the same rate.
if handguns, i'll usually shoot 100-120 rounds, if long guns, 120-200 rounds.
i don't have a ccl so I don't see the need of being able to shoot better than minute-of -man at 30 yards indoors/100 yards outdoors.
old safe pic, somewhat related.

>he doesn't know about the 25 yard zero
>>30998563
I shoot 200 rounds every time I go to the range, and that's once a month.

>Hasn't shot his AR-15.
Good, I have to warn you, they kick real hard.
