Kid had a weapon, cop went for his most reliable option. Kid probably didn't die anyway. I heard recently from tfbtv that a trauma surgeon did a study and something like %80 of handgun round victims don't die.

He didn't stand very long at all after getting hit, which doesn't kill you in an instant btw (always be ready for follow up shots). Wouldn't have made a difference if it was .45, there isnt much of a difference until you get into higher pressure and magnum rounds. I'll take higher capacity rather than a bigger hole, as the reason the guy didn't stay down has more to do with the placement being off. More rounds = more opportunity to put one on target.

Deputy Sheriff here. There was a no knock long before I was employed that has become infamous in the department. Team made entry, suspect was on armchair with a handgun. Entry officer gave him a dose of 00 buck square in the face. Obviously the suspect was dead, "head removed" was how it was called in. Scene was declared clear, suspect rises from the dead and shoots 3 officers killing one before he got put down for good. He was in fact not dead from the shotgun blast. His jaw was completely removed, along with most of his face, but his brain and spine were not damaged.Set a precedent and changed statewide procedure.
I read about an officer who put 8 45 HSTs into a suspects torso who just shrugged it off.
I personally know a marine who ate a 7.62x39 in the neck. Hes fine with no permanent disability.
Ever see the Kyle Dinkheller video? I know you have, watch the video closely, you can see the shooter take a bullet right in the stomach and barely flinch, while continuing to effectively fire, advance on, and murder the deputy.

The Miami FBI shootout? Shot multiple times, including through the heart, and still kept fighting.
Ever see the documentary Armadillo? Ragheads keep throwing grenades and shooting after taking an entire SAW belt into their little palm tree concealment at practically point blank range.
Ive personally seen a man who was shot twice in the chest with a 357 magnum point blank carry on a casual calm conversation for several minutes until medics were on scene.

Yeah, dude. He's black; the latest craze is to act like they are capable of no harm, and that if they do something bad, they're just "lashing out at an oppressive system."

A friend of mine is a liberal and will vehemently defend ANY black person no matter what. If they were killed, it's automatically unjust. These people have never been in those kind of confrontations, and until they are, will continue to spew the naive mindset that no one deserves to die. Sometimes, people do things that deserve a punishment of death at the hands of someone who is protecting either themselves or someone else.
