WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERY INTERNET OPERATOR RUN BCM RIFLES.. ARE THEY THAT GOOD?!?
>>
That's no ordinary internet operator, that's Travis "stay safe, and stay in the fight" Haley. He once killed a man doing something or other then he ended up on a roof in Najaf with other blackwater dudes and they shot the entire town. None of this has anything to do with James Yeager though. What are we talking about again?
>>
Well you see, monica, it's because internet operating is a very home of sexual thing to do.
>>
>>30973928
It's this decade's Spikes Tactical. Before that is was DPMS/Stag. Before that, Bushmaster. Before that, Colt.
>>
>>30974114
Wrongo, sperglord.
Go throw your bait somewhere else.
>>
>>30973928
but that's a real operator. travis has killed more people then we will ever talk to.

>>
>>30975856
no, he's right. i'm guessing you haven't been shooting guns since the 80's but prior to the mid 70's everything was colt. then bushmaster, armalite, olympic, and DPMS competed during the 80's and bushmaster won out in the 90's. DPMS started in on the AR10 along with armalite and won in the late 90's with their LR-308. in the early 2000's it was all new Spike's Tactical and Magpul stuff, and BCM started to bring back "Colt correct" rifles.

these are fighting rifles, not really the boutique/competition (Noveske, et c) rifles.

>samefagging this hard
>>
They're everywhere because their marketing budget includes giving guns to internet operators and I'm sure it's been repaid many times over by consumers asking the same question as you and assuming the answer is because they're the best. They're solid guns but not something that is so superior to a competitor's offerings that you have to have it. The KMR rails are good and decently priced and the CH as well. Those are the two stand-out offerings they have.

Because they make good pre built ARs, to mil-spec or better. Yeah you can get something that works well enough for half the price, but it won't have the same quality of parts, fit and finish, etc. Does it need to in order to work? Probably not. But it might make the difference in a 1 in 1000 case or something.

I could make a car analogy but I know jack shit about things with wheels. It's like asking why anyone needs a Lamborghini or [insert fast car name here] when a basic Toyota is going to get you to work every day just as good, or a higher end toyota can have similar speed performance.

Keep in mind that a lot of people aren't poorfags. You might be 20-something and single making minimum wage, but there are a lot of peopleout there that are middle aged and want to get something that's high quality, is going to be reliable and well made, and they don't want to put together their own gun. So they drop a few thousand out of their savings or credit, because they have money saved and are responsible with it, and get something that can shoot with and they can depend on it, while looking nice and new and cool, which is a totally valid reason for wanting something.
>>
When will Daniel Defense become the most popular operator manufacturer?
>>
>>30977624
you're right. that was a horrible analogy. if anything the bcm might be a lower level mercedes or bmw and nowhere near a supercar.

>>30977656
most popular? never for as long as they have that stupid furniture. they're still popular for things like the ris ii and mk18

He regularly attends furry conventions as a dragonfly, and cosplays as his favorite cod characters.

>>
>>30973928
the only BCM item in my rifle is the charging handle. its p good
>>
How do they compare to a PSA?

I can't trust something this cheap to be good but have very little experience with other brands.
>>
>>30979436
Problem with the budget AR comes from the Springs, pins, and other metal parts they use. Many budget brands get these parts from China or other foreign countries. That or the American made parts are of low quality. One example was AKOU with the radical firearms 5000rnd test and the bcg part breaking. Yeah the part can be replaced but it shouldn't be breaking in the first place. You won't have this problem with a BCM because their parts are premium American made and inspected before instalation.
>>
>>30979496
So is PSA a no go or..? Could you just replace the springs and other small parts with better quality to keep the price down, but still have a decent firearm?
>>
>>30979517
Sorry I didn't answer your question. PsA is fine, their premium builds with the FN barrels are real nice too. It's something to keep an eye on, you can always change the parts later if you desire. You can always upgrade your charging handle and trigger later too. Every one of my friends with PSAs has had good luck.
>>
>>30979517
PSA is fine
their BCGs are made by toolcraft who have government contracts
every other small part is not going to undergo enough stress to the point it breaks
>>
>>30973928
BCM rifles are very reliable while being cost effective.
>>
>>30977816
>Earnest Langdon
never heard of this guy, but the rest of those guys are legit AF.

Ive shot a Frank Proctor class and several competitions with him and he is slick as fuck.
>>
>>30974114

10s BCM, 00s DPMS/STAG, 90s Bushmaster, 80s Colt? Am I reading this right?
>>
>>30979563

Langdon shoots traditional DA/SA handguns like a madman and apparently outperforms legions of dudes with single-actions in competition.
>>
>>30979609
>wins idpa with a $700 p220
>1911 babbies get butthurt and ban the 220 from competition with a weight restriction

lmao but the guy is an absolute fucking monster with berettas
>>
>>30979708

I wish Langdon was better known because the "duh firs shot is mo inaccurate" meme needs to die in a fire. It's as if people haven't been shooting DA revolvers just fine for decades just fine before autos surpassed them in popularity.
>>
>>30977060
What about Knight's?
Was Daniel Defense as popular as BCM is now?

His three part video on DA is fantastic. I'm at least glad that there's at least one instructor out there that knows his shit when it comes to traditional double action. Shame about Todd Green passing away, he too was a huge advocate of traditional double action.
>mfw hearing people telling others to stage the first pull anytime DA is mentioned
>>30979746
KAC is objectively better than DD and BCM but it's too expensive for the average person. People like Travis Haley are big believers in not telling people to overtly expensive guns that are out of their price ranges because it's bullshit. Jim Fuller goes into this briefly in an AK buyers video he made a few months back, the video itself is roughly 30 minutes long.
