I want to build an AK but I don't know where to start. If you want an Ar15 it's easy to find builders(or do it yourself) and quality parts but for AKs it seems much for difficult.
Does anyone know a good builder who isnt backed up for months?
Where do you get proper and quality barrels and receivers?
I want muh rivets
Pic related, what I'm wanting to build.
It seems more expensive if I buy a rifle first and then swap everything out and parts kits have gotten expensive and again, have parts I don't need
I'll dump AKs while I wait for replies
Someone plz

Maybe Chris Butler?

Nodak spud recievers are legit. As for barrels, green mountain is a good choice but they do not make 5.56 ak barrels.
That's larry vicker's alfa ak clone in 5.56 instead of the original 5.45. He only got it in 5.56 because of ammo availability of 5.45 is a bit limited in the states.
Honestly, just get an slr104 and get someone to cut the barrel down with a bulgarian 105 clone fsb.

from what ive heard building an ak actually takes metal working skills and equipment so if you were thinking about going that route it tells me you were ok with spending some dosh. id just get any slr that you like and slap some after market shit on there till youre happy. unless you know someone with a machine shop
>Step 1: Buy kit from AKfiles or AK Parts or AK builder.
>Step 2: Find local smith that doesn't suck.
>Pay them between $300 and $600 bucks (from what I've seen locally in AZ) to put it together.
Building an AK at home, however, is no easy task. I'd rather not fuck with it.
