If AKs are so simple to make, why do Americans struggle to make a good one?
>>
>>30960764
Not enough vodka and anger.
>>
>>30960769
Unfortunately this
>>
If you made a good AK then we wouldn't call it an AK.
>>
>>30960769

Also a severe deficiency in cyka and blyat.
>>
Simple is hard, complex is easy.
>>
>>30960782
What would you call it?
>>
>>30960764
Because they try to "improve" it.

>Muh "lightweight" milled receivers.
>Muh bolt hold open.
>Muh ambi charging handle.

If an American company that didn't have dogshit QC would just make a standard AKM to spec it would be great.
>>
>>30960764
Because vast amounts of Americans are uneducated.
>>
>>30960825
Didn't the Serbs first do bolt hold open on AKs?
>>
>>30960764
because there is no combloc military tooling in the US
>>
>>30960805
An AR. Sorry you walked right into it.
>>
>>30961011
But ARs don't fire 7.62x39...
>>
>>30961056
AR's fire whatever you want them to fire, baby
>>
>>30961056
They've been known to

>mfw I bought a ras47 before I saw /k/ calling them dogshit
Is it really that bad? The reviews elsewhere basically said it's nothing fancy but it's a solid gun for the price.
>>
>>30961011
ARs are shit and you should feel like shit
>>
>>30961092
I too would like to know.
>>
>>30960826
And Russia is a bastion of education?
>>
>>30961056
>>
>>30961092
Should've bought an N-PAP
>>
>>30961092

It'll be fine for the kind of range work you'll probably be doing with it. Hell, it managed to actually survive the AKOU 5000 round test. Granted it was in pretty ragged shape, but it did it.

Just keep a close eye on it, make sure its headspace isn't off, and possibly swap out the furniture for some surplus wood.

That all being said, it's clearly not the hardiest AK out there.
>>
Simple to make does not mean cheap. For mass production for a large military or several militaries, the way the AK is made can be done cost effectively. For the small scale manufacturer, not so much. So you have to change a few things, like using milled instead of stamped receivers. This increases time, and cost. And for most people, why would you spend $1200 on a good AK when you can have a good AR for half the price? So there is less incentive to make AKs if they cannot be made cheaply. This means cutting corners. Which makes cheap AKs shitty and gives customers less incentive to buy over similarly priced ARs. Which means no one is going to invest in making them because they can't make money....

It's a self fulfilling prophecy at the moment. Unless something changes in the way we can import parts, or the desire for ARs diminishes (or desire for AKs increases), you're not going to see a change.

Here's a less freaky looking example

>swap out the furniture for some surplus wood.
Got a link to any that's decently priced? Used is fine as long as it's not beat to hell
>>
>>30960840
It's on the mag itself.
You run dry and the bolt holds open you remove the mag and and then it slams shut.
>>
>>30960825
More like making them at the price point people expect AKs for is a recipe for
A) failure
B) expensive fucking AKs

But, waiting to see how the AKOU PSAK47 turns out.
>>
>>30960825
Are you kidding me? The fucking Jews did all of that and were successful selling it to South American countries
>>
>>30961273
>AKOU PSAK47

What's that?
>>
>>30961896

http://www.akoperatorsunionlocal4774.com/

They basically buy five cases of wolf ammo and molest AKs and post the results on youtube.

The next AK on their list is by Palmetto State Armory. Hopefully it'll do better than most other American bastardizations of the AK.
>>
>>30962118
Have they tested the N-PAP yet?
>>
>>30961254
Doesn't that kinda defeat the whole purpose of a BHO?
>>
>>30962267
Rob is going to retest the N-PAP along side the PSA one, which I assume means he has one of the newer models
>>
>>30960764

the correct tooling costs hundreds of thousands and some millions of dollars per machine, The junk U.S made guns are trying to improvise and the result is what you see.

Could you guys expand on this? Could it be a project investment capitalists would be interested in?

Eh still freaky looking. It looks like a transweapon AR that identifies as an AK.

Aks are harder to make than ARs, dunno why this is so hard to understand
It's easier to fuck up rivets than fuck up putting in a code in a computer
>>
>>30962296
It's useful in telling you that you're out of ammo and it's not a malfunction.
>>
>>30967112
Fuck me thought he said IO, anyways RAS is still shit, just not that shit. Same people have videos on the ras
>>
>>30967275
I'm legit tempting in getting a RAS from brownells and running it into the fucking ground to see if it really is shit.

Forever GuaranteeĀ®

I'll wait until it goes on sale though, just in case I decide I actually want to keep it or something.
>>
>>30967313
I mean it's not I.O. shit, but it's still low-quality shit and not worth the price they put it at. If it was like $400 y'know ya get what you pay for, but it's the same price as a WASR or Interarms.
