No but there is some soap opera tier drama that happened years ago. Divorces and accusations of infidelity with departing husbands. Not a personal blog but half of them think I am a harlot and a liar. Still the kids love their auntie and I love them.

The ones I see on a regular basis may disagree with many of my beliefs and lifestyle choices (Southern Baptist side doesn't like that I drink and live with my fiancee prior to marriage, liberals dislike my funs and politics) but if they treat me like family still, they're worth it. I have some family members who won't go to my wedding because we plan to have booze at the reception. If they're that bent out of shape over the fact that I am having alcohol at a wedding reception (not unlike Jesus' first miracle, hmm) then they aren't worth the trouble. I'm not going to not have booze, or try to be sneaky about it. I'm going to have a reception for the part of the family that can get over our differences and remember that we are family.

I had a similar problem with my family. I cut them out of my life, and I only attended family functions that were hosted by non-psychotic liberal family members. Eventually they backed the fuck off because my little cousins missed seeing me at functions, and my psycho aunt had to back the fuck off.

Prior to that I decided to prohibit her and one of my other aunts, and a couple other family members from my home and any of the functions that I hosted. Since my house is the most convenient for shit like Thanksgiving, it effectively meant that my big swinging dick came out on top. But it took a few years. The grinch family members tried hosting a different Thanksgiving/Christmas celebration, but that fell flat on its face every time until they eventually gave in, apologized, and accepted the fact that I am going to carry, I am not going to apologize for it, and if they don't like it they can suck my cock.
