Who /unusualcc/ here? Started carrying a Romanian tokarev.
Pros
>7.62x25 STRONK
>Points well without sighting in.
>Authoritative looking.
>Light recoil
>Cheap. Would not be too upset if cops "misplaced" it.
>Retard tough.
>Probably was used to kill gypsies.
Cons
>Not drop safe.
>Ugly import safety.
>Kinda heavy.
>Buy ammo online or no where.
>Ammo hurts poorfag budgets.
I love it.
what about a p64?
>>30780807
what about over penetration?
>>30780807
I want to get an m57 but I think they all vanished or something
>>30780807
Hornady makes a 90gr JHP that works well my my 7.62x25
At 1700 FPS it removes the shit out of rabbits fucking around in my garden.
>>30780807
I've cced my p38, nagant revolver, and cz52 on occasion just for the hell of it
>>30780830
I've got PPU HP rounds for cc. Not as good as >>30780836 but it will still kill a man in a hurry.
>>30780889
PPU JHPs are just FMJs with holes drilled in the tips my man.
>>30780836
link for anyone interested. I can reload 7.62x25 for 19c a round with these.

>Glock 20
What does that shoot, anon?
>10mm
What?
>>30780917
FUG
>>30780917
I've noticed some ammo that looks like this. If that's the case, does it even work like a hollow point should?
>>30781095
No
Youtube it if you require proof.
>>30780807
Half-cock is drop safe. It locks the whole gun up. You forgot
>Anus-tier sights
>Odd grip angle
>No aftermarket
as cons. Still, fun gun, and 7.62x25 is cheaper than 9mm up here.
>>30780836
There was a "defensive" load that hit something like 2100+, if you feel like shooting through an entire entry team.
>>30781143
I'd have to see the pressure that attained before I wanted to shoot it.
>>30780807
Funny you say that it's little recoil..
I bought a TTC as my first pistol.. It feels like there's a lot of recoil, I haven't shot many other pistols though so I don't have much to compare it to.
>>30781281
>acts smug
>admits he has no experience.
Maybe its time to shut the fuck up?
7.62 tok has very similar recoil to hot 9mm loads in my experience though.
>>30781360
Okay, I see how that image would imply smugness, but I am generally curious.
How would the recoil of my Tok compare to say a 92fs or a Sig p2022 with a normal 9mm cartridge?
I'm also looking at a Jericho 941s in 9mm for a second pistol..
Not that I'm afraid of more or less recoil, I just find that less recoil in something bigger than a .22lr and cheaper than 7.62x25 would be pleasant to take out and shoot - any suggestions?
>>30781445
I have no idea about specific pistols, but the recoil only seems bad because you are inexperienced. Shoot more, get better, it will no longer bother you. 9mm is candy.
>>30780820
I've carried a P64 a few times. Trigger is too shit to make it a regular carry though. I'd cc a nugget pistol or AK pistol once for shits and giggles
>>30781465
Okay, thanks.
I just got a new range membership and have noticed it getting easier to handle just after 3 trips to the range, so you're right.
>>30781095
>does it even work like a hollow point should?
No, you need petals in the jacket, and bonding really helps the lead expand with the jacket.
Basically you just have a hole in your bullet for no reason, it will have minimal to no "expansion" (hydraulic force and impact deformation due to structurally compromised round is not useful expansion)
TL;DR It won't because science
>>30781445
The 92fs will feel a lot less snappy than a tok for sure. It is a gun I feel comfortable handing to people who have never before shot a gun. Think it is mostly just the weight but the way the slide moves just feels smooth as fuck, also the way the tok's grip fits into your hand just isn't terribly comfortable.
I haven't shot a Tokarev since I was a kid though so my recollection might not be entirely correct.
>>30781143
As soon as I saw the OP pic, I was like.
"Yup, Tok Guy is gonna show up. This is like a summoning ritual for him."
Somewhat related, as an extreme povertyfag; would a p64 or Zastava tok in 9mm serve me better as a first pistol? (I've shot a shit ton, just haven't owned one) I'm leaning towards the p64 as it seems like a better size for concealed carry and the springs to improve the trigger are dirt cheap, that and since it's surplus it's value won't depreciate should I decide I don't like it and want to sell the fucker.
>>30781741
p64s are hot garbage. Literally a Makarov that is worse in most ways.
>>30781777
You're literally the first person I've heard say that, what's (other than the horrendous DA trigger) so bad about them?
>>30781800
Capacity is on par with 32acp pocket pistols
recoil is actually unpleasant due to the grip, slide, and low weight
many of them are hilariously inaccurate
On the plus side, they are cheap, and the fit and finish is pretty good. The poles have always been good at making guns, the design is just a bit of a stinker.
Troll your LGSs for used deals before you get a P64. Or get one anyways, I don't care.
>>30780807
Russian makarov
>>30781713
It is. I just like to chat about my favorite pistol.
>>30781154
I can't find much. The brand was MagSafe. It's listed as
>JHP
>+P
>52 grain
>2,120fps
>519 ft. lbs of muzzle energy
>>30781777
Is that truth? /kay talks them up so much I've considered buying one but I'm not really much of a fan of surpshit.
>>30781898
How much do these go for?
>>30781851
I have a fetish for mouse guns though, and if it's really as bad as you say then I can easily sell it for as much as I bought it for.
I don't see how a simple blowback pistol could be inaccurate, (unless the recoil is making people report inaccuracy) but if it really is inherently inaccurate for whatever reason then as I already said, I can sell the fucker for as much as I bought it for. Really the only thing that would make me not want to buy it if it were unreliable.
>>30780807
x25 stronk
>>30781911
I can only speak for my own experience.
/k/ likes poorfag things. It often makes them sound better than they are. Some poorfag things are legitimately good. I have a soft spot for Toks, after all, but the p64 is just a bit shit.
>>30781898
>52gr
Now it makes sense. Pressure should be manageable with that tiny bullet. Expansion will be pretty shit though, and it'll slow down real fast.
>>30780820
>poorfag detected
>>30781959
I also forgot to mention that I live in CA, so my selection of handguns (especially cheap ones) is pretty limited.
>>30780820
DA trigger is pretty bad, even with upgraded springs, SA trigger is fine.
Recoil is harsh because straight blowback, but it's a well built and reliable gun.
>>30780830
>what about over penetration?
Are you worried about "over-penetration" when you use your rifle?
This meme is fucking stupid.
>>30780830
That's why you line up multiple muslims, one of them is bound to stop the bullet.
>>30780928
If you're close to Indiana, I would possible fellate or pay you for some Tok rounds for 0.19 each
>>30782167
>implying I'd sell them without a profit margin.
I ain't that desperate for a blowie, though I will literally be driving through Indiana tomorrow.
>>30782184
0.27 a round?
>>30780807
I like how it looks like a Colt Pocket Hammerless.
Seriosuly, if these were common and cheap, I'd pack one of these in .380 just as a "fuck you" gesture.
I used to carry a top break Iver Johnson revolver before I got a S&W model 60.
>>30782190
Ahh, for that price I probably would.
Too bad I will be literally driving through, and am not planning to stop anywhere in the state.
Sorry mang.
>>30782223
vaccinecantmeltautism is my yahoo throw away, if you ever want to sell let me know
>>30780807
i CC my cz82. its 9mm mak. is that unusualcc enough for you?
>>30780807
I CC a CZ-52. due to me beeing spoopy skellington with a 28in waist, its much more concealable and comfy than anything else.
>>30781105
Ive looked and cant find any good vids in general for 7.62x25. can you link please?
>>30782349
anyone?
>>30782349
Nigger did you even try?
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=site%3Awww.youtube.com+tokarev+body+armor
>>30782984
Nah, he needs to be spoonfed. Which is why I told him to find it on his own to begin with.
Which you have now ruined.
>>30781898
Yo tok guy, where can I get a fuckin m57A? I've been looking everywhere and they are all sold out
>>30783271
Canada, or the US?
>>30782207
It's amusing how blatant the 1903 inspiration is, though internally, it's more 1911/BHP.
>>30780807
get Bulgarian surplus
>steel core
>1500 fps
>what IIIa armor? there was armor there?
>>30780807
Speaking of unusual, a Norinco 213-A would be my jam for a CCW. Essentially a double-stack 9mm Tok with 15rd mags.
>>30783358
>>30782984
>>30783270
>No good quality Gel tests in general. Nothing with HP ammunition with what is posted.
>>30780928
Thanks for the link. Gonna get some for reloading my .30 Mauser Broomhandle.
The DA trigger pull on this is so heavy it can't possibly go off by accident
>>30780807
>Not drop safe.
>Ugly import safety.
I think the Zastava M70A and M57 have that solved.
>>30780831
What, they stopped making them? Otherwise the M70A would be the next best thing (or better thing, depending on opinion).
>>30781143
>>30780836
What if Lehigh made their magic copper bullet in .30 Tokarev?
>>30782207
browning copied tokarev.
>>30781561
>>30781105
>>30780917
Someone said the stuff could expand from a 16" barrel, that true?
>>30783326
I'm U.S. All online sites are "sold out"
>>30784408
Idk if they stopped making them, All I know is, buds doesn't have it anymore, j&g doesn't have it, classic, none of them
>>30784448
>this 1900's design copied this 1930's design
>not serb Tok with actual safety
OP you fugged up.
>>30781959
Part of the inaccuracies that have been reported are from shitty importers reaming out a 9x18 barrel (.364") to 9x19 (.355"). This hasn't been the case in a while but there's enough of them still floating around.
And yeah, a lot of the inaccuracy is from vestigial sights and terrible trigger.
>authoritative looking
Fuck yeah they were. You should also dress like a commissar every day.
