i have learned that when you absolutely positively need to wake up, something stupid will happen with your alarm clock/iphone/whatever, so i set 3 alarms minimum to triple my chances of waking up.

I would assume that you've broken this guys trust because of this HOWEVER if you're on time (e.g 10 minutes early) for every task that gets assigned to you from now on, he'll probably calm down a bit and realise that you weren't being a dick on purpose and that you're not going to fuck him around like that again.

You're a dumb private and make mistakes. Always sleep where the staff duty/CQ person can easily reach you in-perso. As in, makeshift bed in the back or your car. Platoon Sergeant is dumb for having trusted a private, he must be new.
