I have two AR projects going
I am pulling the lower off my retro build and doing a more modern style build with it. (Going to shelf the retro parts till I can get a retro style lower for them).
I am also working on a .277 wolverine build. I have the barrel and lower already. Just working out exactly what other parts I want / seeing what goes on sale (this build is a long term project).

I have 2 Ross mk2s sitting in pieces in my garage as I work on refinishing the stocks.

I have a martini Henry mk2 that is also in pieces as i finish reoiling it's stock

I am working on making brass cases for aforementioned martini henry so I can load up some rounds for it.

I have to replace the barrel on my nugget. (It was my first gun and I don't care about the cost)

I need to adjust the sights and load on my 1858 Enfield (she shoots high even with almost bottom charge). I also need to get around to casting more minies for her as well.

I am currently completing my Remington 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD 20" .308 in a Magpul Hunter stock.

I've got the regular Rem700 SPS tactical in .308... I've been thinking of getting the hunter, or even going all out with an AI chassis... but the more I think about things the more I want to get a 6.5 barrel and chamber it for 6.5 CM and then worry about the chassis.

Bone stock it shoots pretty good as it is.

The Magpul Hunter stock is pretty damn cheap and is amazing for what it is. Add another $80 CAD and you have the bottom metal with a $50 magazine (less than half of what an AICS magazine costs here in /K/anada).

When I saw that I could hold the factory Hogue stock and push it up to contact the barrel by just holding it I got the Magpul stock and bottom metal at the same time.

The space for the recoil lug is huge so you can get a thick recoil lug and it will fit no problem.

The SPS Tacticals have fuckhueg barrels but the Magpul stock still has a lot of spare room for an even thicker barrel and still be completely freefloated.

The aluminum bedding block goes all the way into the pistol grip. It makes for a stiff as fuck stock and a perfect host to bed the action.

Magpul definitely knew what they were doing and they have created a new tier of amazingly-priced amazing stocks.

I just finished building a 300 Blackout pistol and find myself with no projects other than about 8,000 pieces of brass to prep. I want to build an AR-10 with wood furniture, but I'm considering just buying a PTR 91 for now. What should I do?

Pretty much. The only problem I've got with the Del Ton kit built rifle that was my first rifle is that I was too dumb to spring for the chrome, and it's an HBAR.

So it weighs about as much as a Garand.

I'm probably going to put a medcom chrome or nitride barrel in it, and then it'll be fine.

I've just gotta stop spending money on other things...

Like I just finished writing a parts list for a 20 inch barrel 6.5 Creedmoor PA10 build that'll weigh under 9 lbs with suppressor and Viper PST 4-16. It'll only cost me like 3 1/2 grand, LOL.

Hard to spend 200 bucks on an upgrade for your first AR when you've got new pussy disease like I do.

I only have one project at the moment. I found an old Norinco MAK-90 when I was cleaning out my grandpa's storage shed, but the stock's missing.
I'm looking for an American made set that comes with a stock, a grip, and handguards so it can be 922(r) compliant, but not a thumbhole grip stock, since those suck.
So far, I've found one online shop that has them custom made, but I'd have to stain the wood myself. Any suggestions for what a cool finish would be?
