yuropoor here, why do gun fanatics think the ar-15 is for little girls? i thought it was the most deadly gun you could get in america
>>30770510
Quite the opposite, people think the AR15 is a hand held nuke launcher.
>>30770510
>muh military firearm hoorah
Recoil wise it's nothing. You could brace the stock on your ball sack and mag dump without feeling any pain.
5.56 out of a 16"-20" barrel does a disproportionate amount of damage to the person at the other end, so it's still a good rifle.
>>30770510
>most deadly gun you could get in america
>>30770556
This.
Very light recoil, very easy to handle, but it does very ugly things to the human body.
>>30770510
Literally old bolt action rifles fire more deadly bullets.
>>30770510
Define "deadly".
It's easy to control (no recoil to speak of) and is ergonomic and easy to adapt and modify. It can accept magazines of ten to thirty rounds, or even sixty rounds and one hundred round drum magazines, though when you get past 30 reliability kind of goes out the window. Against multiple targets, it is quite effective.
Against a single target at range, most plain hunting rifles will do more damage.
As far as individual damage per round coupled with rate of fire, the semiauto Barret .50 BMG rifles probably own that distinction, at least for non NFA firearms. They fire .50 caliber machine gun rounds. .50 BMG has a muzzle velocity of 2799 fps for a whopping 12175 ft lbs of muzzle energy with a standard 700 grain bullet. By contrast, a typical AR type is generating about 1300 ft lbs of muzzle energy. Which is respectable enough and certainly does the job.>>30770540

Developed in 1488 by the absolute madman Eugene "Boner for killing Niggers" Stoner the Assaulted Racially Fifteen was the first Assault Weapon that has enough thrust per squeeze to kill over seventy Jewish fetuses per second.
It's integral high capacity assault clip allowed the high caliber rounds to be fired in a sealed environment rendering the shots completely silent.
It's popular in modern times by right wing death squads to silently kill minorities, evidenced by the aerodynamic baby-killing black furniture.
Because they are for little girls anon

"Lol only .22" memes aside, the AR-15 fires one of the lightest recoiling rounds available while still being adequate for self defense, cheap enough for target shooting, and suitable for many forms of small and medium game hunting. It's a platform everyone should learn to use.
>>30770510
the most deadly gun in america, if you pay attention to statistics, is any handgun
>>30774365
And the most deadly calibre is .22 long rifle isn't it?

>>30771206
For what purpose?
>>30770510
Some people hate on it because they think the 5.56 is designed to wound not to kill. Really I don't give a fuck. I love the platform and think it's fun as fuck to shoot. I also think it's the gold standard in home defense. Anyone in the home can reliably operate one with minimal training, low chance of over penetration, high capacity, low recoil, and a round that hits above it's weight limit. Every home should have one.
Pros: Light, controllable recoil, high ergonomics, high accuracy, round diversity.
Cons: unreliable, finnicky, .223 is the bottom of the intermediate calibers. 300 Blackout is okay but 7.62 and 5.45 have better stopping power and wound channels/tumbling inside targets
Don't get me wrong, I love my AR but no gun is without its issues. AR-15's aren't for pussies but they aren't for tactical operators either
>>30774378
On white standards or nigger standards?
>>30774378
I had to Google that because I thought you were full of shit. How in the fuck is that even possible? That mother fucker smoked so much goddamn weed he must have come all the way back around the IQ scale. Next you'll be telling me Willie Nelson is a member of MENSA.
>>30774439
>unreliable, finnicky, .223 is the bottom of the intermediate calibers
Fuddlore.
Millions of people are shooting AR's in extreme conditions, without any maintenance and with all kinds of ammo without any issue. Most countries in the world use .223 and it kills just as well as any other cartridge, it's all about shot placement.

>>30770510
The ar15 isn't any more lethal than any other gun. You'll be just as dead getting hit by 5.56 as you will getting hit by 9mm, .22, .45, 300blk, .38 special, or any other caliber. The only thing that could make it "more deadly" is the capacity. And even then if you practice you can eject a 15rnd glock magazine and load another one and have fired 30 shots in about the same amount of time it takes to fire 30 out of an AR anyway.
It's black plastic, so it's portrayed by liberal media (read: sensationalist media) as being a "military grade assault weapon" which is just not the case. The M16A1 was severely nerfed when adapted for civilIan use by Armalite, no burst fire or under barrel attachment capability
TL:DR I'm a huge fag and so are you if you believe everything you hear from an American news outlet
>>30775001
It's like the kid wrote this with the intention of triggering autists on /k/, myself included.
Handguns more lethal in the US than any of your longarms.

>You'll be just as dead getting hit by 5.56 as you will getting hit by 9mm, .22, .45, 300blk, .38 special, or any other caliber
Yeah no there's a significant difference in bodily harm done by rifle rounds out of a sufficient barrel length compared to handgun rounds
>And even then if you practice you can eject a 15rnd glock magazine and load another one and have fired 30 shots in about the same amount of time it takes to fire 30 out of an AR anyway.
>The M16A1 was severely nerfed when adapted for civilIan use by Armalite, no burst fire or under barrel attachment capability
The fuck are you talking about?
>>30775489
Im not saying there's not a ballistic difference, but I'd like to see someone take a .22 to the head and be not dead. I'm just pointing out that pretty much all weapons will make you the same amount of dead.
As for the glock thing, I'm trying to explain to this yuropoor that capacity =/= "more deadly" because you can easily get around lower capacity magazines
The M16A1 was adapted for civilian use by Armalite (hence AR-15, the Armalite rifle 15) and they had to remove stuff banned by the NFA like a three round burst firing mode or the capability to add an under barrel attachment like a grenade launcher or 12ga "shotgun"
>>30775524

You've got it backwards.
>>30775661

How are we still saying this vs pistol or shotgun rounds? Do you mean lower chance of over penetrating from an SBR? Do you live in a nice brick/concrete foundation? Is 5.56 now shit after hitting drywall?

M193 goes through level III body armor too
>>30774439
Why stop at 1 bullet buddy?
AR15 means you get to fire 3 while you're barely lining up your second 7.62 nato round
>>30775845
M193 has the nice quality of pentetrating and destroying anything but then quickly loosing all power due to it's light weight. It can kill through body armor but barely make it through a second door of a car.
>>30775774
Yep, first came Stoner's AR-10, which he re-built to meet the "requirements" for a service rifle program that were rigged hard to favor Springfield Armory's T44/M14, including requiring an aluminum barrel that predictably had a catastrophic failure in testing. The AR-15 was a scaled down version that SOF units in Vietnam started buying because they were light, reliable, accurate, and let them carry a lot more ammo. Then the Army decided to buy a version to replace the M14, which had serious issues in Vietnam because of the weight and excess power of the 7.62x51 round.
But they didn't think the piston chamber in the bolt carrier needed to be chromed.
They decided to switch from an optimized propellant to a cheaper, dirtier one in the M193/M196.
They didn't issue cleaning kits and told troops they were self-cleaning.
My heart rate always goes up when I have to fire an AR. Get's me amped up fuck yeah.

It is if you watch the news and listen to a bunch of uninformed reporters screeching about this "high power deadly assault rifle". It fires an intermediate cartridge which is not as strong as traditional military rifle cartridges. The AR15 is also not an assault rifle, just a rifle.

Who are those millions people? Because most AR's are range toys, even in the US armed forces (most troops are POG's that don't do anything extreme with their guns).
