Served in the IDF 2007-2015 here. The whole IDF has been eaten from the inside by politicians and European/Obama pressure. Everything it has done since 2006 has been about preventing collateral damage even at the expense of our own lives. The 2015 war was the best example of this. The IDF went from one of the most powerful land armies in the world in the 1980s to a glorified police force with attached air force since Oslo.

In the modern IDF, all you do is:

1.) Act as a glorified US cop, trying to stop subhumans from rioting while fighting off mobs of SJWs and leftists filming everything you do and editing all context to hell. You will be violently assaulted by these arabs and western college kids day in and day out, but are forbidden to ever do anything about it. Supposedly Black Lives Matter people have started showing up at the weekly riots.

2.) Patrol the border. Endless patrols that never do anything. We all know where the hamas and hezzie tunnels are, the gov won't let you destroy them because of fear of collateral damage (i.e., they're mostly run deliberately under concentrations of civilian areas). Thus most shit you do will involve catching and deporting African migrants trying to sneak in. It's not a fun job if the migrants are nice people, as when they get turned around and forced back into the Sinai they usually get captured and raped/tortured/murdered by the Egyptian army, bedouins, and these days ISIS.

3.) Guarding small groups of settlers who hate you. Most "settlers" (i.e. those in Ariel, Beitar Illit, Ma'ale Adumim, etc.) are very nice/normal people but the few hundred in Hebron and the like are a nightmare.

My advice for an American, stay in your own country. Don't join the military, that's fucked under Obama and the likely 8 years ahead for Hillary. Join the police. They need you and urban crime is destroying America.

If you're European, leave and come to Israel. Jews have no future in the PC Caliphate.
