Since you don't understand how firearm retail works, let me break it down for you.
Manufacturer builds guns
Vendors buy guns
Dealers buy from vendor
Dealer sells to you.
Take a g19g3 for example
It retails for 499.99
Dealer cost is 440.
Vendor cost is 360.
True manufacturing cost in generally not stated but in this case it is 320.
The price may sway a few dollars at each mark and let me tell you why.
Glock doesn't want to pay for distributing their guns.
Glock doesn't want to deal with customers.
Glock doesn't want to deal with 4473s.
So glock sells their guns to a vendor/distributor.
This man/group buy in serious bulk, so they get a pretty sweet deal.
And glock has a guaranteed bulk sale.
These vendors/distributors sell off these glock in batches to retailers.
These retailers also buy in large quantities so they don't pay too much either.
Then the retailer sells it to the consumer for less than msrp so the consumer thinks they got a deal.
MSRP Is nothing more than a way for glock to keep people from buying guns directly from them.
Because in the end it is more expensive to deal with sales than it is to just make the gun.
That is why glock only makes at the very most 100 dollars per g19g3.
This is also why oem mags are always going to seem unreasonably priced, they have almost half the profit per unit as the gun they go to.
