If you have the qualifications to get a green card (as a white foreigner, i mean) in America, then you'll 100% have a job that provides healthcare. As will all your subsequent jobs. When you get old your healthcare is paid by the govt and you can get cheap supplemental insurance if needed.

That seems to be quite a negative view on what was actually decided in IMCO 13h of July.

What was actually decided:

1. Directive would not effect ownership of funs acquired predating the directive/local legislation based to it.

2. What each country allows their sport shooters, collectors and reservists to acquire will almost completely depend of new local legislation of each particular nation state, which would be created after the directive. The directive proposition on its own is actually so vague in many matters, that it would allow for example Germany to create new firearms legislation that in many ways would apparently be less strict than what exists at this moment.

Quite a difference to "EU bans all semis" if you ask me.
