So why should I fall for the tactical jew again? Anyone who has both please post your experience.

Surefail.

>not water proof
oh shit, guess mine didn't get the memo

Silly ar15, you aren't an F2000
>>30656744
You probably damaged the internal circuit. It's not designed to work in the water, and is implicitly stated in their warranty. The Inforce however stated that the light is 2atm waterproof.

Anyone know if Streamlight tape switch kit is waterproof?
I bought a TLR1 HL, and the light is waterproof ish which is fine, but no specific mention about tape switch kit other than "it has o-rings"
Just makes me wonder since Surefire is gay enough to sell a water proof and non water proof switch kit
I'll survive if it isn't, but always nice to have a little piece of mind when it comes to water and electronics
inforce lights break
>Sureshit
Not that there arent alternatives to inforce or surefire like streamlight but I have also heard and seen photos that inforce lights are fragile.

i'll send it back to sf and tell them that mine is faulty because it still works perfectly.

The x300 isn't water resistant. Not that one.
>>30656929
inforce is shit.
the only acceptable lights when your life depends on it are surefire and streamlight.
>>30656929
The gen 1's were only held on by friction.
Gen 2 has a screw similar to the streamlights that hild it in place allowibg you to put pressure on it when shooting.

This, and Inforce is offering free trades to Gen 2. So yea, the Gen 2 are in a way much better than Streamlight and Surefire.
>>30657254
I'm not saying they're better.
I'm just saying their old reputation isn't necessarily cromulent anymore.
They are both great brands, both has its own unique set of features. If you want to engage at a longer range then the x300u is a better choice than the APL. That being said I am willing to put my money on the fact that the x300u is more reliable/durable.

>Officially listed as water resistant to 22 meters
>"The Surefire X300 is sealed with a O-ring and gasket and is water resistant to 22 meters though I only did a dunk and 1 hour soak test and saw no breaches of the seals."
Is this thread even trying? The buyer's remorse is fucking real, holy shit.
