I was looking at the 10 shot .308 Ishapore Enfield too but it, like the FR-8 that I posted above, is not immediately available to me through a dealer or reseller like modern rifles are.

Looks very cool! It'd be near impossible for me to get though, for the same reason it'd be impossible for me to get an Ishapore Enfield or FR-8: Ireland is too damn tiny :( No market for these things really. I'd have to import any second hand, out of production guns or military guns and that gets very expensive after all the red tape. Pic unrelated: A prohibitively expensive option that fits my criteria.

This is incorrect. The CZ 550 series in .308 use detachable box magazines, not internal magazines. A not very known fact is that any of the 550 series in .308 can also use the 10 round .308 magazines from the CZ 750 sniper rifle.

If we're talking military rifles like the FR-8 you have pictured, then the other alternatives are the Israeli 7.62 NATO Mausers and the Ishapore 2As made by India.
