Sleep tight Tee-Tray.
Summary from anon >>30648733
>Last night there was a SKYKING emergency action message followed by orders to move TACAMO planes from their regular on-station orbits over the US towards Turkey. That's pretty significant. /k/ has been monitoring ever since. At some point someone in the USAF or a rogue ham operator trolled us a few times by transmitting the Mario theme.

you don't need to be "in the know" to realize a NATO member having political turmoil and violence where nuclear assets are located is bound to make the US do a few exercises and checks just in case. This is the most we'll get to see.

How so? Outdated?
>>30648806
>Last night there was a SKYKING emergency action message followed by orders to move TACAMO planes from their regular on-station orbits over the US towards Turkey.
Why would they need to move TACAMO Aircraft towards Turkey?
Things are way too calm compared to Tee-Tray transmissions.
There was a time he gave 2 or 3 codes in less than 15 minutes.
Did it all end and everything is calm? What where these codes for?
>>30648926
Do you really think that the priority of a message is coded by the number of times the call sign is repeated?
Why would the USAF be willing to give an adversary that much information?
>>30649019
Beyond me but as far as I recall it's always been like that. Could be wrong. I'm not sure.
>>30649103
How old is this?
>>30649019
I was thinking the exact same thing
Surely the severity or urgency would be coded too?
A) prevent panic from snooping civilians
B) prevent enemies from gaining response expectations
>>30648872
Thanks m80
>>30649253
the government probably spreads misinformation and false intelligence all over the web.
>>30649288
Goes without saying but if this code we are listening to is what we all think it is.
Revealing the urgency seems foolish
>>30649315
>>30649288
Don't forget the cypher is like a number station cypher. It's only good for a set amount of time and we don't even know what the cypher basis is.
I think the USAF clocked out and went home. No transmissions for 2 hours, right?

>>30649936
No really, are their transmissions aimed at SA or something? Most of the radios seem to be either in spanish or some 'murrikan religious nut.
for some reason, my sound on any of the online radio sources will not work. It works with youtube but not for the radio. Any ideas?

Don't think so, skyking transmissions are quite rare, these threads were due to a very special occasion and the USAF frequency went silent after 2 or 3 transmissions from Perforator.

>>30652516
New to radio here, I am listening to 8992khz. But what is the band with have to do with it?
Sorry for poor radio
>>30652643
Bandwith means how large deviation from your frequency you are listening to. Too small bandwith and you won't hear the message properly, too wide and it will be cluttered under noise. 2,79 kHz seems to be the sweetspot in this case, at least for me.
I'm not an expert on things radio either, so someone here will probably correct me and explain this better.

Does anybody know anything about broadcasting AM radio, such as how to do it and the legality of it?
>>30663279
Legality depends on what country you're in you probably need a license though, don't know about broadcasting.
>>30648806
>TACAMO planes
what does this mean
why would you move these planes towards turkey
>>30663224
Why would he expect that, do you really think "the military" has the capacity or the desire to locate the source of every transmission on that frequency down to within a few meters?
>>30663329
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TACAMO
Why they'd be sent towards turkey who knows.
>>30663412
>>30663224
The only way he could do it is if he was near the website receiver with a transmitter or was in USAF manning the radio. the former probably wouldn't concern USAF, since they wouldn't hear it.
>>30663439
Also the noise was played a few minutes after someone mentioned mario in the thread, leads me to believe it was someone in USAF
>>30663418
>TACAMO (Take Charge and Move Out) is a U.S. military system of survivable communications links designed to be used in nuclear war
>nuclear
>war
uh seems to be more serious this failed coup than we thought
Shame this thread hasn't got as much interest as it did a few days ago it was pretty fun then.
>>30663476
Nah, if shit gets really real you'll know if you're listening to it.
> In March of 2015, Russia launched surprise military exercises near the borders of Finland and Norway (the latter of which is a NATO Member). When this happened, a SKYKING message lasting 34 minutes was broadcast. Unprecedented by most previous transmitted messages, and, as of the date of this post, none have been nearly that long.
So do we have a comprehensive list of Andrews nonstandard codes such as Bad Girl and Santana? I've never heard Andrews transmit let alone use these terms when talking to Skyking
>>30664527
I think code words are only used once.
>>30664527
Once you say them over the radio you change them, otherwise they wouldn't be very effective as code words.
>>30664677
>>30664617
There have been people documenting the NATO phonetic codes, which are equally useless and unlikely to repeat.
I was just wondering if anyone has any more of the code words
