When this happened, a SKYKING message lasting 34 minutes was broadcast. Unprecedented by most previous transmitted messages, and, as of the date of this post, none have been nearly that long.

Think about it - they aren't going to give away information about how serious the orders being delivered are to anyone listening, that would defeat the whole point of encrypting it.

The idea is that the Russians or any other 3rd party can't distinguish between a real nuke order and a routine one with no real orders.

There is a very weak voice conversation taking place on the channel. This is usually a plane or some other radio contacting an individual air force base (usually in Europe) and not a HFGCS message (SKYKING etc) and you can sometimes pick up half-interesting bits of chatter. Very hard to discern tho. Sometimes French, sometimes English, sometimes with a Scottish accent (RAF lossiemouth I believe) apparently Greek was being heard last night (no doubt in response to the events in Turkey) so keep that in mind.
