Na its all flywheels now. That said in the past few years or so Nerf have really stepped up their game and there are alot more usable guns that shoot far and hard right out of the box

Recons in general had problems. The way the action works a little flap pushes the dart in on a pin to hold it in place and to release the air restrictor. It would jam up as you used it. If you took it out, the dart wouldn't push back the air restrictor and wouldn't fire.
