Portugal just won Euro 2016 defeating France, do they also punch above their weight in the military?
bump
No
France has the strongest military in Europe

I mean probably not, but I say that with no knowledge whatsoever on the topic.
I am interested in the subject so I'll bump.

>France has the strongest military in Europe
true statement, here's another true statement
> do they also punch above their weight in the military?
>YES
>>30579092
>France has the strongest military in Europe
That is not what I was asking, punching above their weight has nothing to do with that.
What I was asking is if Portugal have done something good having in account their size, they have only 10M people, more or less.
>>30579255
>YES
How so?
>>30578552
my question is why the fuck are they wearing woodland camo in the FUCKING DESERT!?
I was in East Timor with those Porto Faggots. They were about as much use as tits on a bull. Pic related.

i know right, what dumbass nation would invade a desert nation with woodland camo
>>30578552
portugal is a sad country

Armyfag that deployed to Iraq 03 to 04.
Yes, the body armor, some web gear, etc was still woodland, but we used the desert camo when we were still wearing clothes.
>tfw you spent endless weeks at MOPP4
>tfw you got the same all clear described in Gen Kill, but immediately went to boxers + IBA because you were in a 5ton gun truck with sandbags and ad hoc armor
>tfw you shot hadjis with a 50 cal and M203 wearing nothing but a helmet, IBA, boxer shorts, and boots.
Post-surge was way less fun.
>Portugal
literally who
>>30583143
amen
>>30579092
>France has the strongest military in Europe
HA
>>30578552
I know nothing about the Portugese military, but I'm assuming that's a firm NO.
Out of all the Euro/NATO exercises and deployments I read about, I don't think I've ever seen Portugal mentioned as taking part in any of them.

>dumbass nation would invade a desert nation with woodland camo
America did that in Afghanistan with the Green Berets. Just saying.

Considering they don't have their own arms plant to make licensed rifles and have to rely on other nations to provide ammunition and supplies, yes, yes they are.
