Does anyone concealed carry a pistol with this round?
> Huge magazine capacity
> Virtually no recoil
> Really light guns
You can get a lot of rounds off without having that much separation
>>
>>30483033
>huge
aside from the calico, name one in .22 LR with a mag over 10 rounds.
>>
What 22lr pistols are there?

The only ones I know of are the plinking ones and they're the same size as pistols of other calibers
>>
>>30483033
considering ppk in .22
>>
>>30483080
>.22
>not .380
>>
>>30483052
Zip gun with a modified 30 round magazine.

What?
You didn't say it had to be a good one.
>>
>>30483091
shot placement over caliber my friend :]
>>
>>30483052
Not exactly .22LR, but the PMR-30 holds 30 rounds of 22WMR...
>>
>>30483106
Got point...
Still shit, and .22 is not okay for self defense unless it's your only option.
>>
My father's personal trainer is this Bulgarian immigrant. He carries a walther ppk .22lr pistol outside the house. When he is in his house he has a .38spc snub nose.
>>
>>30483033
>> Huge magazine capacity
Except almost all are 10 round single stacks.
>>
>>30483113
Doesn't count.
.22 magnum is NOT the same.
Also, I'm aware of this.
That is why I said LR and not just .22.

I'm just gonna go out and say this; most handguns in .22 contain the same or a lesser amount of ammo as a handgun the same size in a larger caliber.
>>
Jam-O-Matic
>>
>>30483178
>lesser
Is there a pistol (not a revolver) in any .22 with a magazine capacity less than 8?
>>
>>30483106
>name a gun with ________
a zip gun that a retard built to have that quality

your answer is stupid and you should feel bad
>>
>>30483193
>>30483203

>Zip gun with a modified 7 round magazine.
>What?
>You didn't say it had to be a good one.
>>
>>30483033
Devaan and Dequarius do. Jewall carries a .25
>>
>>30483203
As I said, quality was not a requirement of the original question.

>name something
>I name it
>name calling
>>
If only rimfires weren't horribly known for misfires vs center fire.
>>
>>30483203
I think he means the USFA Zip Gun, a specific factory model of .22lr pistol that takes 10/22 mags (for which 30 rounders are available)
>>
>>30483065
Ruger has that 10/22 pistol. Charger IIRC.
>>
>virtually no recoil

if you hit the gym 9mm will have no recoil either
>>
>>30483272
>>30483052
"pistols" with the mag not in the grip are kind of irrelevant, since OP's subject is use in carry.
>>
>Have to draw your weapon in a self defense scenario
>Manage to get a single round off
>Hit the guy right in the chest but the bullet turns into powder because he was wearing a denim jacket
>Misfire because 22lr
>Pistol explodes and causes permanent blindness
>Get culturally enriched

This caliber is only good for suppressed point blank assassinations against defenseless Argentine Lawyers.

bx25s are fuckhuge for what they hold would be easier to hide a stantag
>>
>>30483106
And how are you going to conceal that?
>>
>>30483193
my JA-22 holds 6 rounds.
>>
>>30483033
>CC with a .22lr

I can guarantee you're not going to be able to hit reliably if you actually need to use your CC, and the rounds you do hit with will probably do jack shit to stop the threat.
>>
>>30483033
My sister does.
>>
>>30483233
This is the real problem, not the .22s power.

How many times have you guys been plinking with a .22 and have a casing crack and get stuck in the chamber?
>>
Yep,
>SIG 22 1911 in alien gear holster
>14 rounds, great trigger amazing control with the 1911 frame
> race gun like operation under 250 bucks
>literally Penny's to shoot all day all the fucking time so you get good which is the whole point
>14 rounds of fuck ur shit into the pelvic girdle will stop anyone and killfast.

Failures aren't a thing with mine, ifit is then get a after market hammer set.
>>
>>30484312
Anendum, not everything is a great idea to everyone.

I have a life that has moments of fleeting violence and I like to have some big chunkn of metal with me at those weird moments.

Were I a cop, I'd carry a glock, a trucker's 357, a outdoors man 1911. Just cause I like it won't change it's issue's.
>>
>>30484023
zero and ive shot at least 50k 22lr
now ive had hundreds of dud rounds that didnt go off but casings shouldnt be cracking ever unless your gun is mechanically fucked up or you think you can shoot 22lr out of a 22mag
>>
>>30483233
This.
I love .22, but just as I won't carry a firearm that fails on me in practice with any regularity...I can't choose the .22LR round for SD, for 3 reasons:
1...Casings split every so often and jam everything. FTE.
2...Squib loads happen. Maybe only a few out of a couple hundred with better grade ammo, but still many times more common than with any other caliber I know. FTE or FTF.
3...Any residual oil in the gun, and even high humidity (body sweat) has a tendency to work its way past the bullet and into the casing. FTF.
It's the failures to eject or cycle when you need it that worry me. I'd probably worry less with a .22 revolver; at least your gun isn't inoperable... but you're back to a sub-10 capacity anyway without at least enough oomph in any individual round for a fast one shot stop.

I conceal carry a glock 19! And guess what?! I can rapid fire with ease and still get A zone hits at 8 and it carries 15+1.

Show me a compact .22lr pistol that can house a magazine above 10 rounds while keeping reliability in check. Please do!

Thanks!

I personally carry a Thompson contender with a 22 inch octagon .22 barrel in my trousers in the city.
>>
>>30484554
no, thank YOU greg
>>
>>30483218
A gentleman would never shoot another man with a .25 ACP, as it would make that man very angry.
>>
>>30483033
>CCing rimfire
are you retarded?
>>
>>30483113
>Not exactly .22LR, but the PMR-30 holds 30 rounds of 22WMR...
Yeah, and can maybe get five shots off in a row before a failure. Not exactly a good carry gun.
>>
>>30484780
This should have been the first post. Holy shit summertime noguns go away.
>>
>>30483052
I mean, there is the FN FiveseveN.

5.7 is basically just overpowered .22

So there ya go.
>>
>>30484780
This. Rimfire rounds have a massive rate of misfires.
>>
>>30484904
Not that I am dismissing you, but I have never had a problem with .22L misfiring.

In fact, the only time I have ever experienced troubles with .22 is on an old fucking bolt action .22 rifle that my father inherited from his father. The thing is ancient and I strongly suspect that it has literally never been cleaned in its entire life.

And even then, it isn't the ammo but rather the poor, neglected rifle that causes the trouble. I think I have probably easily gone through 10,000+ rounds of .22 in my life and can really only think of a handful of misfires.
>>
>>30484780
>>30484904
>>30484881

Yeah but revolvers though.

I'm strongly considering an LCR in .22 as my new carry gun when I'm driving. I have strangers in my car all day, and if I have to light off some rounds inside my car I'd like to not lose ALL my hearing forever. Eight shots of .22 at a maximum of two feet range should be enough gun for almost anything, I imagine.
>>
>>30483033
People who carry a 22LR are total fags. That is all.
>>
>>30483109
Insufficient penetration according to FBI tests.

>>30483135

>>
>>30484956
>easily gone through 10,000+ rounds of .22 in my life
Been shooting for a whole year then?
Between inconsistent priming and powder .22 is easily the least reliable of any caliber, especially when dealing with cheap bulk rounds.
>>
>>30483326
>>30483360
Don't be silly! It was a suicide/an accident!

It's purely a coincidence that he was two hours away from giving evidence incriminating the president!
>>
>>30484837
Eh, If I use good ammo I can get through a magazine without stoppages. Cheap stuff; don't even think about it.
>>
>>30484901
The OP specifies .22 LR.

You're doing it wrong.
>>
>>30485076
This.

Before Obama I used to shoot 1000 rounds a week or more of .22 LR in training for smallbore pistol.

Some production runs of Remington bulk pack "Golden Bullet" gave me 5% duds. Some of the Winchester that came in the white cartons with a red "555" on them were almost as bad.

I love to plink at targets with a .22. I love them on the range. Would I bring one to a fight? I don't have enough NOPE for this.
