Will second the public range there. If you can get out during weekdays it is pretty good.
No one cleans up their brass, no RO on weekdays (occasionally some old fucker will tell you to slow down if you rapid fire but what is he going to do about it), range is kind of beat but still functional so consider making your own target holders.

Last time I went there was some rich Saudi kids who brought a Kahr or something and a 32 ounce of malt liquor. My dad commented their groups looked 100 yard like shotgun spread. Awful shots but they were chill as hell, as have been nearly everyone I have ever met there.
You take your chances but none of this other bullshit anons have to put up with and I have yet to be worried enough by someone handling a gun stupidly that I felt the need to leave.

Option two doesn't sound THAT bad, other than the drive. Invest in a small fold-in-half resin table & chair, and maybe a leadsled like pic related for the car trunk and go shoot. Bring some steel targets or make a simple target stand, whatever floats your boat.
