I like it a lot. super light, nice FOV, easy to adjust zero and brightness, 5 year battery life, been tested to be durable, very reasonable $400 price tag.

I had an aimpoint PRO, the only thing the aimpoint did better was be fuck huge and heavy. still a fine optic tho. MRO has the slightest magnification, 1.05x I believe. that really bothers some people but I hardly notice it.

how willing to build are you? are you trying to shoot at long range or more just plinking at 100 yards and under? you could do a complete upper and build a lower, or build everything, and save even more money. depends on the optic you want. red dots are typically more affordable than magnified optics.

I'd suggest getting a 16" midlength and building one, or at least build your lower. BCM, PSA, Aero are nice reasonably priced options for parts/completed uppers and lowers.

Use mil-spec parts, fuck commercial bullshit. And don't bother with a ton of faggot meme attachments. Build a tough as nails rifle that's bare bones with a simple setup. You don't need to drop $500 each on a handguard, a stock, any grips or shit like that.

You want to be a shooter, not a fucking gun stylist. That comes later.

Then just practice with iron sights and get dope af. Run an A2 sight system, or if you go flat top all around YHM has some good stuff. But I'd suggest go A2 FSB and find a nice rear sight.

Good brands to buy parts from would be like DD, Noveske, BCM, LMT, Colt if you can find any spare shit, VLTOR, Magpul is gtg for furni, and plenty of others. Check the ar15.com forum.

And YouTube is your friend while building if you get stuck.

In a general sense it denotes that clearances have been tightened up. Manufacturing tolerances may be more stringent as well depending on the manufacturer or product line.
In regards to the chamber, usually you would see a tighter throat and neck, presumably with truer and more tightly fitting bolt lugs as well if you bought a matched set.
The point being that you increase consistency by doing so even if you lose to some ability to cope with shit getting in there, a military specification chamber would be much more 'loose' by comparison.

Why the fuck can't I find a mid length gas system on an 18" barrel? Is there a reason or that, like it won't work reliably?
