I just bought my first AR. Having been an AK guy for many years, I'll admit I know jack shit about ARs.

Should I get a 1-point, 2-point, or 3-point sling? I'd prefer to have something that's comfortable for long hikes innawoods

What's the sexiest stripped lower in /arg/s opinion. I'm really liking the BAD forged.

They give us 1,200k every year to spend on Galls' website, here are the red dots we can get for our allotment money. Any suggestions?

Coincidentally while I was outside doing this one of my neighbors came outside. She was wearing her bikini because she was about to sunbathe. She hollered hello and we exchanged pleasantries, talked about the nice weather, and she asked what I was painting, I replied that it was just some metal parts for a project. She said "cool" and then sprawled out. Then I finished painting my rifle while watching her sunbathe like a creep.

Today was a good day.

A local cerokote shop told me they can match up the DD color. Im curious to take my 15" DDM4 rail in to them. They emailed the cerokote hq or something and said its a mix of multi regional earth with a little burnt bronze.

Which one is absolute? Which one is lower 1/3rd? What is a 1 inch riser for, scopes only?

Thanks ya'll.

What kind of cash would I be looking at for an AR? I've heard people get them for ~$400 but what would the quality even be like for something like that?
>>

Jesus, Daniel Defense should just make for RIS II FDE rails.
>>
>>30412039

Yeah they should just open up a RIS II FDE factory. The demand is there.

What optic is it for? What mount is it?
>>
>>30412030
$400 is the absolute minimum for a functional AR. figure $600 for a basic entry level one

aero upper receiver, aero midlength 16" CMV, aero enhanced rail, aero UPK, A2 birdcage

i ordered all the parts when they were running 15% for memorial day. they also ended up giving me 10% off on top of what i paid because they basically lost my order for weeks but still, it would have only then been about a $700 rifle without optic or BCG. still pretty cheap for the quality of parts
>>
>>30412207
Oh, well for one, each batch is different on the Geissele rails.
I'm looking at mine next to a Pmag in a relatively low-lit room, and it looks the same.
It looks different and reflects differently in different light because it's anodized aluminum and not molded polymer.

No matter what it's more like $450 once you add shipping and a back up sight. PSA had a slick side PTAC kit for something crazy like $330 shipped. They sold out in a day.

Anyways, I'd recommend shooting for $550. In that price range you can get chrome lining and quality parts if you play your cards right with free shipping and sales. Good luck dude

Hit another snag with stag lpk.

Trigger doesn't seem to want to clear the safety bar, even without the spring.

What the hell is wrong with this thing? I though the trigger can always go in after the safety.

Opinions on the Streamlight Protac rail? I know it isn't as gucci as an M300, but for 1/3rd the price including the tape switch, and compatibility with 300 body style mounts is awfully tempting.

ohhhh holy SHIT. Did you get a trashass LPK too? My pins are severely undersized and disconnect spring was ground off at a 30deg angle, and wont even stay put. Not to mention a fuckload of other shit like they dremeled some parts AFTER park'd and get this - SPLIT PINS instead of rollpins like they advertize on their own fuckin website.

>>30412524
The Protac is the same price as that, but with more mounting solutions and an included switch. Less bulk and forward mounting with keymod compatibility so I don't need to do a silly top rail setup.

take that trigger out and kill yourself. it's garbage.

you need to put the disconnector on top of the spring and put them into the gun as a unit. you're literally installing the EASIEST part of a trigger install and you still can't do it. also do this without the safety installed.... what kinda retarded asshole are you?
