A 10mm should be 1/9th wider than a 9mm

A 9mm is the same diameter is a .380 and the 10mm is the same diameter as the .40

So a .40 should be 1/9th wider than the .380

.02 is 1/19th of .380

What the shit?

I suppose you think a .38 Special bullet is .38" too, hey dumbshit?

It was when they used to heel bullets

Fractions don't work that way, moron.

Congratulations anon, you've learned that bullet names don't always refer to the actual shape of the bullet
>>

Those are nominal sizes. Go to home depot and measure a 2x4 and don't be surprised when its no where near 2" x 4".

>still using imperial.
>honestly better than metric. Way more fun, way easier to estimate too.

Metric is just lazy, it's advantage is being easy to convert. That's it.

>>30388208
See that triangle? That is the All-seeing eye of the Illuminati jews. Metric keeps it standing, Imperial takes it down.

.380 is the US appelation of 9mm kurz

everytime you ear .380, think about 9mm short
>>
Cartridges should just be given a metric designation as standard. Its nice and and simple. Bullet diameter(mm) x case length(mm). No more fucking around with a thing called .380 because .36 calibre was historically rebranded but is actually .355. here in the civilised world we just call it 9x17mm.

>.380 Automatic Colt Pistol
>Designed by John Browning
>in the US
9mm Kurz, 9mm short, 9mm browning, 9x17,etc are all appelations

Browning literally designed and called the cartridge .380 ACP
>>
>>30387911
By your logic
A .22 lr would be roughly the same as a 5.56 Nato
>>
>>30388208
The imperial system was created by the British not the jews
It was called Imperial because the British Empire
>>
>>30388410

Yeah man 7.62, 5.56, 12.7 millimeters is much more rational than 30 caliber, 22 caliber, and 50 caliber.

The reality is it doesn't matter because the name of the cartridge doesn't necessarily give any useful information about the cartridge. Go check out 41 LC, for instance, or compare 44-40 to 44 mag.

Even a metric designation isn't useful because case bodies differ even if lengths are the same. Consider the distinction between the AI cartridges and their parents. It would be very hard to think of a numerical shorthand for a difference like that.

.38 special
.380 auto
.38 ACP
.38-40 winchester
.398 super

what do all of these things have in common?
>>
>>30388943

>.398 super

.38 super works too goddamnit.
