Which country undeniably has the best special forces?
Which one does the most illegal/Israeli tier stuff?
JTF2 are definitely contenders. A number of their deployments have been classified, but in addition to being one of the few units qualified to work alongside DEVGRU, there's rumours (not sure if 100% confirmed) that they've operated within Canada as well, dealing with uppity natives and the like.

>Which country undeniably has the best special forces?
Is there such a thing? When it comes to groups like SAS, Seal Team 6, Delta Force, GIGN, GSG9, etc, is there actually one that is the clear-cut "best"? What would the criteria for the title of "one SF to rule them all" be? They're all exceptional, they all have a history of successful missions, once you've made it to that level, you're probably not going to do any better.
Best SF are the ones who do the most training and belong to a country that warmongers, covertly or overtly. You don't gain knowledge without practice.

Gotta admit, they sure most do lots of black ops and fucked up operations for their Zionist masters.

No, you're thinking about the RAID. The GIGN is a part of the French Gendarmerie, which is military.
To simplify, the RAID operates mostly in or near Paris, while the GIGN is able to operate everywhere else, including abroad, where the military status is required.
>>30357920
There's actually no one sf to be all and end all. All sf's are trained to suit the part of the world they belong to. Place in asia like indonesia and malaysia have their sf train for jungle and guerilla warfare, while the americans may concentrate more on urban warfare after iraq.
Most of the stuff is classified anyways.

GIGN is Gendarmerie, which is part of the army. GIGN can and have already been deployed on foreign soil.
French police equivalent would be the RAID, GIPN and BRI.
Though I agree that they are first a counter-terrorism unit and not pure SF.

>(not sure if 100% confirmed) that they've operated within Canada as well, dealing with uppity natives
They were in Caledon dealing with the natives.
It was also caught live on tv too. They were in a black GM van with the back window smashed by an uppity injun, the operator was about to light the chugger up too.
But they were dressed in black, so most people passed em off as local LEO.
Pretty strange seeing how there's like 3 levels of municipal, provincial and federal LEO to handle the situation before any .mil should be deployed. Let alone JTF2
Well given how little is known about the SBS compared to the SAS, I'll assume they're either pretty good or they do fuck all.

SBS aren't exactly that secretive. You want secretive, you look at the SRR
Can't even find pictures of these fuckers but they're literal spies. That dude who got shot to death on the London underground was stalked by the SRR right up until the cops shot him. There was an SRR guy on the train with him

SRR are more than happy to take a back seat to UKSF on anything involving combat. They aren't comparable.
If you want a rough approximation of what they do, read up on 14 Int in Northern Ireland (Ken Connor's book is a good start, and I'm not saying that just because I like him personally - it's probably the only decent book on the SAS) and imagine that sort of thing in modern day conflicts. They have nothing like the fitness, longjevity, role or flexibility of a SAS/SBS unit. They're a one trick pony.
Much is written, and much of that false, about the SAS and SBS (but mostly the former), but prior to 1980 they were basically unknown outside of HM Armed Forces.

I can do that too. Allegedly this dispersion camo I have a piece of was made 'at the request of a small group that required a camouflage that worked in the urban environment'. Personally I think arktis are lying, but it;s neat anyway.
>>30359371
I was out of the regular Army by the time the "Troubles" kicked off, but I did some time as a reservist in the 70s. It was a lot more relaxed back then (I believe the interview was a look through the book, a handshake and being issued some kit and told to show up next week). Casual meetings were arranged with certain reservists as to what they thought about the situation in Northern Ireland.
Never did a BANNER but one of the main worries was that after Op Motorman the various republican paramilitaries would attempt to hit key infrastructure points, a threat that only saw a response in the form of the Home Service Force which came around in the early 80s. Even then, it was justified as a defence against Soviet SF.
I'm going off topic here, but I'm reliably informed that the SRR was formed under similar circumstances - there was a problem and many years later someone opened a drawer with all the situations and said "Oh that looks like a good, cheap ideea"
Probably the USMC

He wasn't shot by the Metropolitan Police, Jean Charles De Menezes was shot by the SRR. They were armed on UK soil, which is forbidden for the armed forces, unless with the permission of the Home Secretary, they didn't have that permission.
They shot him, then the SRR get banned from carrying weapons in the UK for a period of time because of the incident. The CO19 Constables that got "collared" for it are probably sitting on a large "donation" and new identities on release if not already released.

This, it basically turns into my favorite SOF > your favorite SOF.
Also a lot of SOF's have different tasks, like how some are specialized in anti-terrorism ops, while other are trained in reconnaissance.
SOF's like Navy Seals, SAS, MJK, etc. All operate with different forces for differen tasks.
Obviously a majority will claim that Navy Seals are the best, since they are in the mainstream media, e.g. American Sniper, Lone Survivor, Zero Dark Thirty, Captain Phillips, etc.
Other will probably use stupid shows like ultimate soldier challenge as sources of who are the best.
Most SOF's are highly functional, if they weren't they'd most likely be disbanded(like TF777).

Turkisk OKK takes 4 years of training (not enlistment) to even make it in. Then there is ongoing training. Also, one of the few special forces that use Trust Shot training
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Forces_Command
> Adequate linguistic skills in at least one foreign language is a plus for admission. The candidates then have to complete a challenging training period which lasts around 120–260 weeks. Many drop out during this intense training period. Training encompasses fitness, obstacle, Martial Arts, close quarters combat (CQC), biological/chemical/nuclear warfare, parachuting, diving, sniping, demolition, counter-terrorism, search and rescue, stealth seek and destroy, reconnaissance and survival. Learning foreign languages is a part of the training. During the training, candidates are pushed by their instructors to their limits, both physically and mentally. Training schedule includes all aspects of a modern-day regular and psychological warfare. 100 kilometer terrain-walking with a 40kg. load is an example of what the candidates have to go through during training.
Turkey faggots
> The Trust Shot (in Turkish "Gūven Atışı") is a part of the MB's training program. It is exercised on the last month of the training and is to ensure that the soldiers can trust each other with their lives. The Trust Shot consists of two members of a squad standing next to paper target boards, while another member fires on the targets with a handgun while walking towards them from 15 meters (49 feet) away. During the exercise the men standing next to the targets are not allowed to move or wear body armor. They are one of the few special operations teams in the world to perform the trust shot.
